Spin Luck Arrives

Thanks to OTIS 51 my spin luck arrived in one piece!! As I watched the fedex guy drag it out and drop it on the ground!! You can imagine the words that flowed out of my mouth. After two years stalking this machine to see a fedex guy drop it!!! Once the shock left my body I unpacked it out of the box I found it to be in one piece (wheww). As I peeled back the plastic and foam I could see the chrome flash in the sunlight!! It was amazing machine in tact and not a scratch on it. As I peeled all the protection off of it I couldn't believe how well refurbished this machine was!! Plugged it in put 1000 tokens into it and wham spinluck happened. Spent the better part of the evenng trying to figure it out. Amazing that this machine was in the auction center here. Two years of stalking 5 minutes of fright and a life time of entertainment. Thanks Pachi gods!!!

Thanks to OTIS51. Well packed, undamaged. Not too loud either. I was expecting unbearable. There's a piece of plastic hanging down from the top in the 4th reel window I need to 'fix'. I'll take a pic since I can't describe it. Shouldn't be an issue taking the wheel out and putting it back in place. I'm in no hurry to dismantle anything at the moment though.

Now to figure out how the hell this thing works. I read all the instructions for playing on the website and also on Gak's site. I didn't realize it was so involved. Gotta go read them again. It just sucked in 100 tokens and I have nothing to show for it.

All aside, I'm hooked. Much fun!

Considering that after taking the entire top assembly with the wheel out tonight to fix the plastic in the pictures I posted (which is metal, btw), it looks to be really difficult to get that belly glass out. I guess that's by design since the serial number and license/tax stamp is there.

As for the 'plastic', it's a metal piece held in by three screws. Well, the middle and left plastic holes are broken in half and it's drooping because only one screw is holding the metal bracket in place. I have the entire top section disassembled right now and luckily one of the broken plastic pieces fell out (the piece for the right screw) with the screw, so I may be able to super glue it back and just use two of the three screws to hold it in (the other broken piece is no doubt irretrievably lost inside the game somewhere). The middle piece of this bracket supports the top part of the wheel mechanism, so now I know why it rocked back and forth when I applied gentle pressure on it from behind. I took close up pics just in case someone else ever needs to get inside this part of a Spin Luck. The only other option is to replace the entire chrome top section, because that's where the broken pieces are. What a pain.
