    Default eBay Auction for Tokens

OK, so do these cherry tokens actually have the cherry painted:

    http://tinyurl.com/2vyz86

Or are they like these tokens and all one color:

    http://tinyurl.com/2kjt7l

Or, are they brass and it's just the angle of the pic that makes the cherry seem 'painted'?

btw - I won 1,000 of those other gold Japanese tokens on eBay tonight from shopda.

I really want some of those composite tokens someone on this board has, the silver ones with the brass heart design in the center. Very cool. But of course that will be a stroke of luck to find those again I guess.

the cherry tokens are all metal and not painted, I got a 1,000 and they were made of steel and magnetic.

they won't work on a pachislo with a magnet in the token accepter.

but, they work fine in my Rodeo machines.

    ditto.
the steel stamped cherries work fine in my Thunderbirds machine. The gold ones I got from shopda were very clean and work great in my Speed Racer. Now I just need another 500 butterfly tokens (or 1000 of another appropriate design) for my Austin Powers...

OK, so how long before shopda sends their address so I can mail them a money order? I take it they're kinda slow.

    shopda's email address bounces:

    pachisloshop@hotmail.com

Calling shopda's phone number that's listed on eBay's contact information is disconnected:

    (323) xxx-3540

If someone else has a different number, please PM me with it. I don't have time for deadbeat/lazy sellers.

    Thanks.

jeeze Johnny, they might actually have a real job during the day. you are brand new to ebay.
(1-point) you will find things are a little different than going to the corner store for a quick 6-pack. most sellers are part time and hold real jobs, have wives, kids etc. sometimes it can take HOURS before someone responds to your demands, heck it's rumored that sometimes you might not even get your product until after your check clears! (imagine the guts of that seller) the post office even takes 3-4 days to move a package across the country sometimes.I hear they are working on that whole teleportation thing though!
in short your going to have a bad experience on ebay unless you calm down a little( then again even the most relaxed person will eventually get burned on ebay. just ask LD.

I'm not upset in the least, just inquiring based on what I read on the board about shopda.

Where did I say I was brand new to eBay? I've been using eBay regularly since 1999 and have about $1,200 worth of stuff up for sale as we speak. And this is their job, selling coin-op. And they already have a bad rap as far as communication (or lack thereof), so when their email bounces and their number is disconnected, I start to ask questions. I'm sure any sane person would want to know if they should send them a money order based on that information.

EDIT: I was asking other people how long it took them to get communication from shopda when they had to deal with them, not wondering out loud how long it was going to take them to send me an address. Most people say they do not reply to email. The fact that the phone number on their eBay account is disconnected is not a good sign.

EDIT: OK, I have to ask. What you smokin' over there, Cap'n Crunch penguin guy?

This isn't eBay, but I've been scouring Google for sites that sell unusual tokens. After much searching, I admit there's not much, and setting Google to look only for Japanese pages gives decent hits, except that I CAN'T READ JAPANESE.

Anyway, here's a site that sells mixes of Japanese Pa-chi-su-ro parlor tokens:

    http://tinyurl.com/338nsy

    AUTHENTIC Pachi-slo Tokens
from some of Japan's HOTTEST Pachinko Parlors

Anyone ever seen these? I emailed them asking about selection and more pics.

shopda actually runs a cellphone business by day and does the ebay stuff at night. he has always done right by me. your new here, so a word of advice: lighten up. theres a lot of help and knowledge available for free. People like birdrain make this site what it is. When I was a wee newbie he offered to send me replacement parts for a machine at no charge just to help me get it back up and running when the seller would not. he was basically just trying to get across to you that ebay is not instant gratification. if you knew that, sorry, but it honestly didnt come across that way in your post. i will look up Tom's info later tonight when I get home and attach it to this post. i am sure he will be fine with waiting until then to hear from you.

Did you check your email to see if he sent an invoice with info??

I send all my buyers an invoice, patience is needed when dealing on Ebay. I have 3 buyers that still haven't sent payment or told me when to expect it. every few days I email them, but get no responce.

Some sellers are very slow to ship, I've been burned by a few sellers, but by paying with Paypal eventually I got my money back.

go to the ad and click on ask a question, then ask for mailing info.

You can right-click on a Japanese text page and go to "page info", then translate to english

I would not waste my time with that place...200 tokens for $30.00??? ...I don't know about that.
You can get a better deal on Ebay or on Gaku's website or anywhere but there.
Some people like new tokens and some people like used tokens, I have a mixture of both and they all work fine, but in my experience when I have people over and they are playing the slots, nobody is examining the tokens.

I'm not upset, nor am I looking to pick a fight. I apologize for my to 'to the point' writing. That's just how I am. I try to articulate so there's no mistaking where I'm coming from, but since people don't know me here... Maybe it's that silly googly-eyed avatar that's the problem. How's this one?

Just remember that 99% of the time I am joking and all will be well. If am not, it will be crystal clear. I hate emoticons and only rarely use them, so the 99% rule is very important.

And I wasn't insulting Birdbrain. I was being facetious, again.

Yes, please send me Tom's info. When I don't get an invoice, can't use PayPal, the seller's email bounces and the phone number is disconnected, regardless of accolades, however recent, I become skeptical.

    Thanks for setting me straight.

Oh yeah, duh. I seldom translate web pages, so this doesn't occur to me.

I was curious about the mixture of different unique tokens, some of which might be silver with gold centers. I just like to collect things.

It's my disposable income and I'll do what I want with it.

And in all seriousness, translating Japanese web sites leaves a lot to be desired. Here's a translation of, well, I have no freaking clue, but Google said the link contained information on pachislo slot machine tokens:

The child who draws the picture.

     Parking zone.

It is large the uniform of the eye.

     Vessel of empty.

     Umbrella.

Please accept my apologies, I did not realize that you looking for collectable tokens.
I should have read the thread more closely.

There was a site I was looking at today that had gold tokens with a dragon on one side and NO CASH VALUE on the other. Forgot the url though. Let me go look...

OK, here it is. Way too expensive, but I like the dragon on a brass token look.

fanninislots on eBay is a reputable dealer on newlifegames.net and has gold tokens:

    http://tinyurl.com/2ovlb9

They only have this auction up so far for dollar tokens, but I'm pretty sure they have these in 25mm too. I've inquired. They look sharp. Click on the pics for nice close ups. Sparkle, sparkle.
