Microsoft Surface - Wow!

I'm not quite sure of what to make of this new computer interface but it does deserve a look.

It uses cameras and your fingers to interact with you and other items placed upon a very stylish looking tabletop.

It definately has "Cool" factor nailed down in spades and would be a draw in a bar, restaurant or other commercial setting. But for home use I see more flash than practicality.

That is cool.. but once again it feels like Microsoft is jumping on someone else's bandwagon.. or perhaps crushing it under their multi-billion-dollar Sherman tank.

While MS Surface (can't they give anything an actual NAME??) purports to have been in development since 2000, I'd bet Bill Gates' fortune that they stole interface ideas from Jeff Han--it would be impossible to see his video and not get ideas from it.
