    Default Ball lifter ideas

As many of you know, ball lifters are a more talked about subject thesedays since the dongles from Daverob came out into this world.

While surfing around for some other kind of information, i found this website.
    http://hackedgadgets.com/2006/09/01/...l-contraption/
It might give many of you some ideas to use for your own ball lifter at home.
Atleast, if you have plenty of technical lego around the house then go ahead and make something that will amaze us all

If your not up to the challenge, then you can always order a ball lifter at arby's while stock lasts.

    Enjoy

It is that screw type mechanism that has me interested. I think that would be the way to go. It is like a timing screw on an assembly line. Made out of A high density plastic would work!

And its worth every penny ! It took me about 10mins to get mine setup for my Star Wars, and it sure makes a difference in gameplay when used in conjunction with a daverob dongle. I can now speak fluent Japanese while playing pachinko (results not typical, your actual results may vary).

I'm working on one based on a old Matchbox Cascade toy from the UK. I just need to find someone to make some custom track pieces. I have 4 or five sets that I've remotored.

I just received the real thing myself the other day. I've been changing my game room around the last few days and will post pics of this item soon.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

    Cascade!!!

I had that game as a little one - hours of pleasure of positioning the trampolines so the balls would go into container at the end... Hours of metal balls going backward and forward...(sounds like Pachinko!)

Come to think of it. - did this game have a purpose?

    Many Cascading thoughts...

    I had/have a Cascade set too!

The purpose was to position the drums so that balls made it to the end. Then the thing at the end had slots which the balls would randomly drop into. Some slots were for points, the others just returned the balls to the tower.

Unfortunately, rubber doesn't last forever and I'm pretty sure the drums are either dried out/broken or they don't have the bounce anymore.
