Default What to use in cleaning the reel strips?

    Hello,

I am sure this has been covered but all be darned if I can find it! also I wasn't sure where to post this so I put it here (mods feel free to move it).

I was wondering what is the best thing to use to clean the plastic reels strips ? one of my slots I can see streaks and I wanted to wipe them down and not damage them... windex (I wasn't sure on the ammonia, etc.)

    Thanks!

I'm not really sure, I just got the machine and it looks like streaks from wiping not scratches and it is for sure on the reels not the glass.

Do I just turn off the machine and wipe and spin - wipe and spin or will it break something if I spin the reels by hand?

    Thanks!

You won't break the reels by spining them as long as your gentle with it. I have always used windex on a soft cotton cloth. I have always applied the windex to the cloth and never on the reels.

windex works good, wipe and spin won't harm anything if machine is turned off

    the reels will realign.

    Update:

I cleaned the reels with windex on a soft cotton t-shirt (applying the windex to the rag as suggested), WOW what a difference, they look 1000% better!

    Thanks alot
