    Excellent idea !

Babel is probably the most customized Pachislo out there.

We have members here that are now what would have to be called "experts" in this area and maybe we could convince them to take a Babel and show us step by step how to convert all of it.

How about it guys? This would be a very informative series !

Ok where do we start ?

How about let's make a Pepsi Cola Babel. How do we remove the top spinner 4th reel and what do we use to cover or replace the graphics ?

I would think that the 4th reel would be the hardest to change over. If one is using backlit film, the reels are a little stiffer material I think. Plus it is back lit so stickers won't cut it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Before you start alway take pictures as you dismantle. I use backlite film and print it on my canon, I use lexon and pit between two layers each lay is half the thickness odf the origial glass. Use your origial glass for size of the replacements. as to the four reel, print on film and use a white very thin film to have two layers, don't forget you have a alinement to worry about.

I cut out for the reels or you won't see them. it is slow in the begining, but fun.

arby where do you get your backlite film and what canon printer do you have? Do you buy the lexon precut to sizes or just in rolls(where?). you probably take out the original graphics on the 4th wheel ?

    Thanks for your help !

    I got a Canon i900 17 x 19 printer, the film I got from Canon store.

The lexon I order pre cut, I don't have room or the tools to cut it.

I order like ten set (six pieces pre machine) it is cheaper to cut 20 pieces one size and for the other two glass again 20 each. Thats is wwhy I try to stick with one machine style.

All the glass is the same size for these machines, Zett-30, Slo Para-30, Hound Dog, Surprise, Great Zorse, there are afew more but I forgot their names.

You need a printer that will do atlest 17.25 for the belly leinth

I order the plastic for just one machine (6 pieces) the cost was half now what I pay for 10 sets. labor is what cost.

Do it all on paper first to see your layout.

Than go to film, this will save on your cost.

Arby can you go step by step with pics showing how you go about customizing a machine and then they can be posted here. You can talk about printing on film, cutting the lexon but if it doesn't go in order and showing with pics I have a hard time understanding, but put a machine in front of me and seeing how something is done works. Laz.

    Arby ,
Is your Canon an inkjet or laser?

Arby this sounds like a great idea for a Ebook/Printed Book/Video that you could market everywhere ! I know that I would buy it. You might want to consider it.

In any case you have a very interested audience. Of course there may be others that would prefer you not to give out the "secrets" 8)
    I can't wait for January :!:

Yes, you could say we are very close, but we all carry our soap on a rope.

You know how you alway get ether soap on a rope or a tie.

I am just curious if there is any other customizers out there that would like to join this discussion on how we would convert a Babel etc to say a Britney Spears one with the 4th reel featuring her etc ?
arby has been very helpful and any other insight(s) would be great also.

My babel wants to be reclothed !!
