    Default For the Pinball Fans

    Hi all.

I just got back from a 4 day weekend in Vegas. It was fun, hot and busy. I will also bring my computer next time as I spent most of my day going through the 1036 new posts while I was gone and missed all the CF news... lol.

Anyways, I know this was brought up before, but if you are going through or near Vegas and you like pinball, stop at the Hall of Fame Pinball Museum. I made it a point to stop by there on the way out and ended up losing 2 hours in there. Not only do they have pinball new and old, but classic video games, shooting target games, what can only be described as pachinko with coins and rare production models as well. The one game I was looking forward to was "The Pinball Circus". Only 2 were made, and it is a pinball with 4 levels of play....the playfield is about 4 feet tall.

I will stop my rambling now ... lol... but seriously, if you like pinball and are in the Vegas area, check it out. http://www.pinballmuseum.org/

While I must admit, I love pinball. I don't think with all the new Casino's that are sprouting up all over the place I'll be heading back to Vegas any time soon.

My Son and I were just there Saturday at the Pinball Hall Of Fame also! We actually put in a total of 6 hours of playing and still did not get to hit them all! The nice thing about the location is that it is right next door to a great bar and grill with quarter video poker so you can take a good rest and have the best philly cheesesteaks made in vegas...oh and they have like 12 beers on draft

The thing I didn't like was that there were a lot of the old classics set at 3 balls for a quarter play. Otherwise it was a great experience. Most of the pinballs are in terrific condition so it was like playing brand new pinballs. They have plenty of change machines plus vending machines for pop, water and snacks. They could use a few recliners tho

Oh and yes we hit the La Bayou downtown before flying back...all in all a great red eye adventure

I just want to thank Sacpinplayer (Mike) for mentioning it here on Pachitalk a couple months ago. Mike it was everything you said it would be plus more! Great memories were revisited again

Azlew.... we were one day off from a mini-convention... I wish I could have spent more time there.... I made sure to have plenty of money left over to play my heart out. But I had a 5 hour drive home ahead of me and wanted to avoid as much of the Vegas drive home traffic as I could.

I noticed the weird pricing as well. Some of the old ones I played were $.25 for 5 balls, then jump to another one from the same period and have it be $.50 for 3 balls. The $1.00 for The pinball circus was worth it. And I played Pirates twice even though it was $.75 for 5 balls. I also didn't expect it to be a crowded as it was.
