Default Working on a Jackpot candle for a Pachislot!

Well I've been working on adding a jackpot light (Slot Candle) to one of my Pachislots. So far I've got it to work, but it only works off the speaker wires. What I did was take an American slot candle and gut it, add a small voltage meter with two white LEDs and two long wires for the negative and positive. It requires no additional power source, because it runs off the voltage going through the speaker wires. What I'm having trouble with is finding the wires that would actually work as the machine wins. Hope this makes sense, I will post pics if needed.

Why not hook it to a light that only works when the Jackpot is on also you can hook the other light ,Providing you have a 2 light candle , to show emty coin box or any thing even put in a button to call the Waitress like some of us have done

I like this idea, maybe I can even put a red LED in it. You know what they say when the red light is on, the real fun starts!:girl4: Here are the pics and maybe a video later on. I think I will try the insert token and try and find the main jackpot light. By the way I'm installing this in my SF2 Pachi.

You and I had the same idea. I bought two candles on ebay a year ago with the hopes of developing a way to hook it to the machine. My candles have only one light each, so my idea has devolved into a simple service call switch. After a year, the candles are still not on the machines, and I'm not quite sure what voltage the bulbs take. How did you set up those leds?

check the reel stop board for outputs. that is where the computer hooks to. dont know what type of amperage they are(probably very low)

I have a Betty Boop Topper with the Candle Light thingy at the top

Betty lights up and the LED's too.....

But it would be nice to know how the 'Candle' could be wired to operate when a Bonus is reached or something......

I also bought these about a year ago too. They have been sitting on my workbench waiting to have a new life on my machines. The guy I buy my LEDs and chaser modules told me about these small voltage meters that might work for me. I bought 10 of these from him, he even soldered all the resistors and the capacitor to them. I got all ten for $40 including shipping, not a bad deal I guess. The way they work is like a graphic equalizer, the more voltage the more LEDs light up. What I did was solder two LED holders to the board, for the top and bottom lights in the candle. I looked at the schematic Birdbrain mentioned, and I can not figure out anything on it, seems hard to read (I don't really know what I'm looking at!). Another place I found that might work is the wires coming out of the computer going into the upper lights. I think I will also change the top LED color to maybe red or green, to look like they are separated. Sorry I did not get the video done, I will try again tonight!

Well... I have a few of the slot candles, and I believe that they take a 13 volt input max. 12 will do just fine, Which I think the bounus light takes. If not you might be able to find a 5 Volt bulb that would replace the existing bulb, if the slot has a 5 volt output. This would eliminate the need to have resistors, custom PC boards, and LED's. And the cost might be less. So if you can find a light that lights up only in bonus round, you have 95% of the problem solved. Good luck, and tell me how it all pans out, for I have not done this myself and would give it a try after I move into my new house.

i'd say: put 24v to light and then to pin 6 of cn4. any time it goes to bonus it will make ground and light the lite. pin 5 will give you big bonus and pin 4 will give you regular bonus.
