Hey ! What do you guys use for stands for your machines-?

It's just too bad Target discontinued their mudroom table. It was perfect. I have eight of them and my game room will hold eight, so I'm set. Which basically means I have a lot of machines sitting around the house not in the game room..

When you get your machine, check what the viewing angle is on the LCD.
My Sindbad Adventure and Fireworks you can see from above or side but the first generation LCDs on my Sammys (New Sea Story and Aladdin Evolution) can not be seen from a standing position.

So your're saying the first one's that came out ,you don't see the LCD clear when looking straight at it-?

My pachislos are sitting on a homemade stand. I am a computer geek from way back, and always seem to find myself with 3 or 4 old PC towers folks give me when they upgrade or become broken and they aren't worth fixing. Since the towers are heavy steel, usually, I spaced 4 of them out 2 feet apart, and laid a piece of wood I had in the garage across them (it was 6 feet long and about an inch think and 8 inches wide). I coved it up with an old throw blanket and set the machines on that. You have room to put your legs underneath, it looks good and the pachis are the right height for playing!

Plus, it helped 'get rid' of those 'ugly old computers' I heard so much fussing about.. well, some of them, anyway.

IKEA has some Great Gaming stools. I have several for My Pachinkos, Mame Cocktail Cabinet and Pachislos.

There are pneumatic and easily adjusted with a button under the seat.

My contribution...

I found some solid oak nightstands at $5 for the pair at a local thrift shop. Ugliest things I had ever seen, goofy art-deco drawer pulls, some fancy carved applications around the front, and all painted in a lovely shade of baby-poop brown. My wife freaked. I looked beyond the hardware and paint and found they were made very sturdy, dovetailed drawers, etc. I found a date of 1938 stamped on both.

I took them home, removed the drawer pulls, sanded them down and painted them a semi-gloss black. I roughed the edges and corners with sandpaper (those will get dinged up - why not make it look uniform?) and waxed and buffed them. I also installed new drawer pulls. My wife liked them so much, she actually stole them and put them in my son's room! I found myself looking for more so I could get my others back!

Anyway, I have six now. I buy them in pairs, and the work to sand and paint them is minimal. They are not identical, but close, and they will go in different parts of the gameroom. Attached is a photo of my first two, in my yet unfinished gameroom.

Built my own simple tables, the length of the wall, out of 2X4 frames and 3/4 plywood tops.
