Default My visit to Samauri Slots/CF Exports

I went to their warehouse to pick up a couple of pachinko machines. Actually it quite a bit more than that. I visited with Tom, Hilo, Jake for about 3 hours. They had all my machines ready to go for me without any problems. I shared some of the concerns from the members on here with Tom. He was very open in listening to some of my suggestions to better please customers. He let me take a shipping box home with me to try to come up with a better packing procedure for them. The boxes they are using now were ordered by the owner in Japan. When machines were ordered before, CF had custom packaging for their other boxes. Why did they start using smaller boxes? I guess the owner maybe wanted to save a buck. When it comes to machine shipment, I seen first hand that it is tough on all of them being understaffed. They are all participating in all processes of getting the machines ready, to include Hilo, who is the manager. I personally think they are doing their best with what they have to work with, personel wise. The warehouse is very organized with a vast assortment of pachinko and pachislo machines. I know that not everyone has the oppurtunity to visit or meet these people as I do. One of the suggestions I made to Tom is communication: emails, phone calls and what not. Return those calls and emails in a timely manner when possible. Again remember, he is not just sitting at his computer. He is in the warehouse installing transformers, testing machines, packing. Well I just wanted to let everyone know a bit about my visit there. Will I go back there? I would have to say "in a heartbeat".

You are echoing what others have said that have personally gone there. It is too bad that going there is just NOT an option for most.

When I bought my first machine, the one that got lost, I called, their phone number is not toll free,
I got their answering machine twice and finally got a person on the line the third time.
i got 2 one min charges and a third charge when I finally got someone on my phone bill.
a toll free number would be nice

I'm hoping my Mr. Vampire will ship monday

Heck of an operation, ain't it? How long did it take for the dizzyness to subside after seeing that many machine? I suppose your first thought was "I think we're gonna need a bigger truck!".

Sounds like you had a very productive meeting with CF. Thanks for sharing some of our concerns, and who knows maybe things can improve a little. I wonder if they would let you snap a few pictures the next time you're there. I am curious how big or small a facility it is.

Yes I did need a bigger truck.....lol. I will ask Hilo and Tom if I can take some pics next time I go there. Hopefully very soon again. I will mention to Tom about the toll free number when I talk to him Monday about what I came up with to better protect the machines during shipment. I do believe that Cf will make a few changes to have things run smoother.

Maybe the owner from Japan should come to the shop in Cal. for a few weeks and answer the phone to get a clue and see what his / her customers are *****in about. (Poor service ,poor shipping boxes , etc.)

I believe there is a thread somewhere by Compirate that has pictures he took.

I too went there on Friday, the machines were ready to go. All went smooth, was in and out in 25 minutes. The only thing new was they no longer include wooden feet.

I replace the feet with taller versions any way to work with paint trays.

They may skip the feet for pickups. I think they have to put them on for shipped machines - they are an integral part of what keeps the pachinko from boucning around inside the box. I'd hate to see how they'd arrive if there were no feet.
