New ebay rating system?

i think its lame....all those stars...pos. neutral and negative work just fine. simplicity is best.

I kind of like it. I've dealt with many sellers (a certain pachi dealer comes to mind), that are strong in one or two categories, but suck in a couple others. I think with this system, buyers will get a better picture of who they may be dealing with.

The only negative is....as swissmr alluded to, making it more complicated may just end up in people skipping the rating or not taking the time to do it right.

its a nice added feature, you can rate the guys properly on all aspects of the transaction...

Yes we have had this new rating system a few months now & it seems to work OK, for those that bother to leave feedback that is.

Well I like it!

I got 5 Stars all the way recently under this new system...

Also, when I'm leaving Feedback for something I've bought, it's just nice to be able to show how you feel about some of those rip-off P&P charges without having to give a negative and risk getting a neg back yourself....

thats the good part.. you can rate the different aspects of the deal

not just a flat out positive or negative...

It is a better way to rate the service IMHO it covers the basics and is not so general.

I dunno, I think I would rather have the ratings be more like weakest link. "Bye Bye Panchinko, you are the WEAKEST LINK"

Tried it for the first time this evening. I like it very much, especially the shipping section.
