Unwired Buyer

Hey all -

Just wanted to let you know about a FREE service that eBay is using now... it's called Unwired Buyer. When you are logged in, you can set it so that they will e-mail, text message, and even call you when your auctions are ending! I tried it last night and ended up getting a Super Stadium for cheap (especially since I was no where near a computer when the auction was ending).

They send you a reminder e-mail 20 minutes before the auction ends, a text message 8 minutes before, and call you (with an automated system) 3 minutes before the auction. You can use this automated system to place bids on the items to get that last good snipe in, especially if you don't want to pay for the services that charge a commission. I will definitely keep using this as it is really cool and can help out a forgetful person like me who loses track of time!

Didn't ebay, many years ago, have a beeper/pager you could get to remind you of stuff like that or am I just making that up?

I'm not sure.... they do have the text message thing through them, however my cell phone provider isn't on their list :02:. They may have had something before that was similar to this, but I have no recollection of it.
