Gatchaman pachislo/pachinko?

Over the weekend I stumbled across a pic of a new pachislo and pachinko based on the 'Gatchaman' anime series. While most here in the States likely don't know 'Gatchaman' I am sure some folks in their mid to late 30's (you know who you are) surely remembers 'G-Force' in the Battle of the Planets cartoon that was on daily in the late 70's.

Battle of the Planets was 'Gatchaman' with English voice overs replacing the original Japanese. I found several screen shots showing both a Pachislo and Pachinko machine and can't find them now. From what I found at the moment, these are new machines in the parlors in Japan. As my favorite childhood cartoon, I simply *must* own one of each. I have already decided that the pachinko version will be my entry to the 'dark side', and am ready for it. Anyone else seen em? If I can find them again I'll post a link.

Oh man.... must have one! I miss Casey Kasem doing cartoon voices.... Yet another childhood cartoon that got me up at the crack of dawn everyday w/o prodding from my alarm clock or parents.

If you have watched the original Japanese cartoons (with English subtitles of course), it's a whole different cartoon. The Americanized versions were toned down quite a bit, and they added that stupid little robot.

Yea I have Gatchaman on LD - I grabbed it when I was in Tokyo for a bargain as everyone was converting to DVD. I guess 7-Zark-7 was a nice replacement for the violence....us poor US kids would have just gone nuts seeing that stuff in 1980
