Default Help! Star Wars doesn't pay out....

Hello. I must admit that I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to pachinkos. My Rocky machine will pay 4 balls when I land one in the bottom center hole, but my Star Wars will not pay out. When I look at the back of the Star Wars machine, I have no idea what I need to do to get it to start paying out. I've loaded balls at the top and I've pulled a gold spring back. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Does it pay out when you get a ball in any of the payouts or is it just this one?

looks like you have a jam in the tracks above the payout motor as the are only two balls above the motor. the pair of tracks should be full up to the upper tray.

You might want to get rid of the rusty balls as well. It will dirty up your tracks and playfield.

Thanks for the responses thus far......unfortunately, I'm still at a total loss. None of the other holes will pay out any balls either, although there are so many nails around the other holes that I think its physically impossible for a ball to get into one of them. Also, rust, etc. can't be the problem because the balls could be mistaken for brand new. After posting my initial thread, I turned a white circular knob (right side of machine) to the side and this caused the ball hopper to empty out at the bottom...so does that mean there was no ball jam either? Is there some type of knob or lever or button that causes the machine to pay out vs. not pay out? Anyone with a Star Wars have any other suggestions?

I don't know if this is a problem or not and I may be grasping for straws with this observation.....but every few minutes the machine will make somewhat of a "clicking" noise.....like a "click click"......then a few minutes will go by and again "click click".

    Thanks for everyones input!

some machines do make different noise when idle.

it may just be a poor connection on your payout motor, check all your wiring.

If you can see no physical obstruction and the wires look good try a hard reset. Ive encountered a few different problems with my Star Wars along with other pachinko machines and when all else has failed in the past the reset has usually sorted it. Obviously it could be any number of things but presuming the guy you bought it off tested it prior to you getting it then the problem has to be pretty simple. Good luck

Do you have any error code numbers displayed in the little LED panel on the back of the machine?

Your "click click" noise could just be the flippers opening around the start pocket.

If you have any stocked flipper openings (up to 4), they will open and close once every few minuets until they're used up.

yup i see an error code 4 meaning payout motor cut off ar balls jammed so firstly check teh canles on teh payout motor wich is teh clear plastick box under the cover that flips up on the right hand side of the machine at teh back

chek by pulling cble off and then reseating the connector again

then take out teh payout motor nd make sure there is no jam in the motor as when you turned the white knob that knob corses teh balls to bypass the motor thus emptying the hopper
My rice krispies told me to do it

The Docs correct, this is most likely to be a ball jammed in the payout mech. If you're not sure about how to go about clearing the ball jam, then download the Sankyo Lumina Frame manual from this thread, and there's instructions for removing the payout unit on page 20.

If the jammed balls do not fall out of the payout mech simply by turning it upside down, then the internal gears can be turned using a small flat bladed screwdriver inserted in the side of the mechanism.
