Server Attacked

I noticed some strange reactions to the system tonight and I went through our logs and found the server had been attacked. They were attempting to gain access to the mysql database.

A bot was used to perpetrate this attack as the events logged were occurring at a pace that no human could have accomplished. The defenses I employ were enough to stave off the attack and I have the location the attack was generated from in the logs. The IP traced to [you]!

[you], was this some kind of an April Fools joke? If so, I'm not laughing. Maybe [you] would like to share with all of us why this was done before I delete their account...

As we all know, bots aren't very bright. It was likely confused and was really looking for some "Mesquel". I know that when I consume a bottle I can hustle to the "powder room" at a pace that is indeed inhuman.

Either way, that was an insidious attack.

It was nothing i did? not on purpose, anyways....my computer has been on all evening,but i just went on it now.....and saw this????
I don't even know what an sql thingy is or how to do anything of the sorts!
But you never know what's going on being April fools day!

I have send a PM to Tulsa, explaining that it was not me in person, but there could be a trojan horse or other kind of virus on my laptop.
You never know ofcourse by surfing all these pages on the net...
Therefor i started a virus scan right away to see if there is anything on my laptop that is not supposed to be on there.

I do not have any hacker skills and i do not see any fun in attacking a server of a site where i read the pages about a hobby we all love.

If i find anything on my laptop, then i will let you know.
If i do not find anything with this scan, then i will re-install windows to make sure that there is no way that something evil is on my laptop.
(ok, i know, windows = evil).

But i promise you, i would not even think about attacking pachitalk in anyway.
If you have any details for me, please pm them to me so that i can take a look at them.

In a way i feel ashamed, but it was not me, i hate those hackers who distribute virus or programs that take control of other peoples computers when they are asleep.
If Tulsa can let me know the exact time, then i can tell you if i was asleep or not.
I have been sleeping from around 1 am till 8 am in the netherlands.
Just do not forget the time difference between our countries.

I wonder about the whole who what where and how, but i promise you, it was not me in person.

These days attacks are very common, but i scan my computer every single day and the database is updated automatically, so i am quite sure it was not me, but you never know.....
If it was an april fools joke, then wait till next year and i will april fool Tulsa, gna gna gna.

Besides I don't believe that is TULSA's picture in the origianl posting. So hmmm no I don't think TULSA even did this....maybe lets see....SID or whoelse has moderator access?

afyer looking at the cookies, there seems to have been a trojan horse imbedded in the pachitalk.com cookie.
So maybe all of the readers computers are also infected.....
