Default Anyone added an IGT arm to Speed Racer?

I can see the wires coming out of the spin knob, they are orange, brown, and red. I tried checking continuity it on them with the machine unplugged and they all show continuity and no drop when the knob is moved. Hoping someone else has added an IGT handle to Speed Racer or another Aristocrat pachislo and can help with which wires to splice into. Not sure exactly how the handle works to actuate the spin process.

Yes someone has added an arm to a speed racer i dont remember who but they'll fess up sooner or later.the orange is most likely the trigger wire and the red (+) and brown(-) the supply voltage .You have to check the voltages with a dc volt meter continuity wont help at all since its not closing a switch that causes the spin ,its a drop in voltage or an application of voltage that causes the spin these are digital machines not analog .you have to watch as someone pulls the knob the change is fast and doing both tasks might cause you to miss it . check the voltage from the red to the brown ,then the red to the orange ,then the brown to the orange and look for either a voltage spike up or drop down then youll know which to use . let us know your progress and we'll be glad to help you out .

Thanks for the help and pointing me to the right thread. Looks like it's brown and orange. Works great. Now I'm off to Autozone for a shifter handle to replace the ball at the end of the igt for that real racing experience...

I am the member who did the arm mod with Vince's Credit Auto Stop on my Speed Racer. I sent the wire info to Revmondo in a PM. The correct wires are the brown and orange. The really great part of our forum is the amount of time that we all save by piggy backing on the experience and expertise of our fellow members. Kudos and good Karma to everyone who reads the posts and contributes to the enrichment of our hobby. Frank A
