    Default Maharaja Question

This is more of a question then a problem. When I first turn on Maharaja after the boot up I hear a bell, like a fairy tail bell. Then some Japenese speech that sounds like "memame acleo mister" that repeats for a few seconds, then the bell again. The game is fine after that. Anyone know what this is. I thought empty hopper or jam at first but thats not it.

I have had the same thing on my Lupin 3. Just does it every now it then.

I thought maybe, it was because I turned the machine off with it still owing me more balls.

Lassen, Thunderzone, and Batman do it also.
The Heiwa machines do that I believe if the power has been off for awhile. I think it's just a warning for the parlor to let them know that it just came back on or something.

My Lupin III worlds does the same. My understanding is that it is something to do with the fact that it has not been turned on for a while & capacitor has drained.

When I first got my Lupin III I played it most days & I never heard this noise when I turned it on each time. However when I had a break for 2 or 3 weeks without playing it, the next time I played it I got the lady speaking etc. I played it for a few hours on Sunday & then played it again last night (Tuesday) & when I switched it on last night I did not get the warning.

If I have got this slightly wrong I am sure the Doc or Daverob will correct me.

I haven't noticed this on my Maharaja yet??

but when I received it I played it almost non-stop for weeks and weeks

But now it has been stored away for over a month,

so maybe this is the excuse I need to get it back into play and see if this happens on mine......

It actually says 'Memory Clear' in English followed a Japanese word that implies that the speaker is using the polite form of the language.

It's normal if the machine has been switched off for a while, and just signifies that the backup capacitor keeping power to the retained memory has drained. Some machines can go several days without this happening, some seem to loose charge overnight.
