Is Tomb Raider a decent machine?.

I paid for mine on 3/12/07 and since then requested a refund when they Emailed me about not having the machine. I called 3 times, no answer and the mail box was full, I emailed twice thru EBAY and no answer. I don't know what they are going to do for me but If I don't get a refund this week I will take action. As of today I am no longer placing any more bids for their merchendise.

With 36 current ads running and only one bid, I'd say you're not the only one with that philosophy.

So far the machine is fair. I wouldn't say it's bad, but I can see why it didn't do well in the parlors. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to it as far as gameplay. I'm a big Tomb Raider fan, so I've been enjoying it, but I think it might get old for others. That's just my opinion. It is interesting to hear Lara speaking Japanese though...

I usually manage to get someone on the phone around 1-2pm CA time. I've discovered nothing ever gets done with them through email or voicemail, so keep trying until you get someone on the phone. Good luck.

Dr Phill i would place a chargeback through paypal it seems to have worked in getting there attention in the past

Kizu tomb raider is one of the next generarion machines that was brought in to replace teh ones that are of a couple of years old under new regulation they were told to designe teh machine with lower odds ec it was in a thread a while back sorry i cant find the thread but was from a reliable sorce based in japan so unfortunatly they are gonna be pritty low on payout meaning they will probebly be quite stingy with reaches ect thus not being to intresting on the playability side
My rice krispies told me to do it

    The 5th Generation

In my understanding, the main difference between the 5th generation pachislo and others is, the 5th does not pay out more than 300% of your investment in 400 games. In other words, the payout rate of the 5th must be less than 300% IN 400 GAMES.

Here is the interpretation of it. Before the 5th, pachislo machines could pay out more than 300% of your investment in 400 games as long as the machines keeps the payout rate less than 120% IN 17,500 GAMES. For example, you could win 5,000 tokens in 400 games. In this case, after you win 5,000 tokens, the machine never gives you a bonus round next 2,000 games so that the total payout rate can be less than 120% in 17,500 games.
In short, the 5th never gives a bunch of bonus rounds; therefore, there is no so-called <stock time>.

Another difference is that the 5th limits the payout of a bonus round by the total number of the tokens that the machine actually pays out. Before the 5th, the limit was set by the number of the tokens that the player actually win <the total payout - investment>. For example, the 5th stops a bonus round when the machine pays out 466 tokens (346 if the machine equips the challenge time). This means, you want to finish a bonus round as soon as possible so that your investment is minimum (your profit is maximum). It is no use to avoid a jac-in.

    Other minor differences are;
The 5 can have up to 10 different kinds of symbols -- before it was 7.
The 5 never stops the reels automatically -- the reels keep spinning forever unless you push the stop buttons.
The 5 does not pay out when you hit <777>.

All Japanese casinos will replace their machines with the 5th generation pachislo by the end of July 2007.

    Enjoy your pachi-life!

You are right, it seems to go in waves, and I really don't notice a lot of difference between settings 1 and 6. I've hit the Regular Bonus and the Big Bonus a few times, but nowhere near the amount of other machines. The lcd is nice and the movies are fun, and as I said, I'm a Tomb Raider fan, so I'm enjoying it. I wouldn't recommend picking one up unless you are a fan.

If all of the parlors have to have all of them changed out by July 07, we should be getting ready to see a glut of these machines coming over.

Thanks everyone for the info on Tomb Raider.

In other news: today I received a standard size envelope from CF Export International, it is hard to beleive but the envelope was in worse shape then the boxes that have arrived by FedEx. Eagerly I opened the envelope hoping to find my refund check for the Tomb Raider machine. My wife asks "Why is the envelope empty?" By God I beleive they forgot to pack the check.

I just got off the phone with Tom about my missing door key. He said that they had one left over, so they knew they shorted someone, and they were just waiting to hear from who ever it was. We'll see if I get it, or an empty envelope like the good Doctor...

I just received Death Valley pachislo that was held up in customs or something. I received it without any notice of it shipping, I tripped on it going out the door this afternoon. hopefully it was in the same container as the other wayward pachi's. and you will receive the machine soon.

I do wish they would hire someone with some organizational skills to fix their issue...

Tom may be a nice guy, but they're going backwards and that leak needs to be plugged and I don't think he's the guy to do it.

I just got burned by them too. I won and paid for a Super Stadium pachinko on March 19th. Called yesterday and Tom wasn't sure if they sent it to me yet or if it was still in a container somewhere. He blamed it on someone in Japan but that's his problem. I have not had any problems with them <CF> until now. I guess I played with fire too long

Dr. Phil, I thought I was missing the reset key too, but it was taped to the inside of the door covering the on/off switch. I didn't see it there the first time I opened it up. I'm sure you've already checked, but just in case...

I hope someone gets their act together/stays open long enough for The Ring machines to start showing up! Man, I want one of those...
