Just to follow up in this thread, called Tom about my Yamato and he mentioned the container came in yesterday (22nd) so hopefully those of you waiting should see progress soon.

While I don't agree with the whole list before in stock deal, I do think there are some people who will pay 2x the cost for the comfort of it being in-stock and warrantied up the wazoo, while others can deal with some issues if it saves them some cash. I bought a Hamilton Regatta watch off eBay for about 30% of the retail cost knowing if it has issues I have to ship it overseas vs. going to the jewelers at the mall - but I have had it for years and it has been solid as a rock. To each his own I suppose.

It is not a problem if they list an auction if they do not have the item in their warehouse yet.
As long as they do place a note about it on the auction page.

If i have machines coming to europe and want to auction it, i would make a clear note on the page that the items is currently beeing shipped and when it is expected to arrive.
So people know where the item is and when they can expect to receive their item they purchased.
I have machines that are going through customs at this moment, if there is someone who wanted a specific machine that i ordered, then i email them to let them know what the situation is and when i expect to go pick it up.
So also communication is also a very important factor.

    but uhm, thats my opinion....

At the moment i have several machines coming in streight from Japan.
They have arrived at the docks and are going through customs.
The main reason i am not listing them anywhere, is because i do not know what state they are in and if the need repairs from shipping damage, then god knows how long that might take.
If i would list them here on the pachitalk auction then i would make it clear what the current situation is, but that probably would not attract any buyers.
Therefor i wait till i got them in my house and inspected and cleaned them so that i know for sure that the person who buys it will be a very happy person when he or she receives the machine.

Normally i would have been able to pick them up last friday, but things ended up going wrong at the shipping company.
Hopefully i can go and pick them up this week.
It all depends on how fast customs will put the stamp OK on it......

And that is why Panchinko/Samurai aka CF Ind is not stating these facts on Ebay.

No matter how nice Tom is....the fact seems to be they are advertising merchandise that they don't have and may not have. That is a violation of Ebay rules and is a terrible way to do business. I doubt that they could get away with this practice in Japan. Their feedback will continue to go down and they will be gone just like all the other quick buck (or yen) people that came before them.

If I was Tom , I would be considering a new career....

The most telling stat is not that their feedback is going south like a duck in winter but...

They currently have 36 auctions running. 4 have bids on them and all but 1 of them closes within 2 days.

These stats are both user names combined.

Most of them close in less than 2 days cuz all the run lately are 3 day auctions.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Anyone gotten their Tomb Raider yet? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

No reply back to my email about whether they had cleared customs or not, so I thought I'd check.

man.. I had just about talked myself (and my wife) into going after one of those Indiana Jones pachinkos from Panchinko. Then I start reading on here and I'm not so sure I want to risk it. My "new road construction" pachinko from them was very dirty and slightly damaged in shipping, but reasonably well-packed. I was almost willing to take another chance, but now I'm not so sure. dang it.

If it's cheap, and you don't have a problem with babysitting them until it arrives, you might give it a shot. I've picked up five machines from them and only one transaction went smoothly. But you get what you pay for...

Many people have received decent machines. Be prepared to clean 'em up, etc. And, you might have to contact them for other issues. Yes, they are cheap.

When I got home from work today, my Tomb Raider was sitting on my front porch. When I talked to Tom on Wednesday, he said that they would be starting to ship them out next week, so apparently he had already sent it out when he said that... Oh well, it's here.

As expected, it looks like a bomb went off inside the machine. They were obviously trying to get these out as fast as possible. There were pieces hanging, the hopper was loose because they way the had attached the power supply back in at an angle there was no room for the hopper to fit back in where it belonged, and there was no door key. A reset key, but no door key. I'll call on Monday about that. The machine itself is actually in pretty good shape, so after an hour of fixing, It's good as new. The cheap price and the hassle almost balance each other out.

Hopefully everyone else that's waiting gets their machines in the near future! Unless it's something I can't live without, I think I'll take a break from Pachinko/Samurai for a bit...

Shipping guys can bounce the boxes around a lot, check the box and packing for the key.

I had a similar problem with a transformer from another vendor and had to relocate it.

Its a good thing that most parts just pop back in place.

Just to clarify for my own sake, when setting the odds the higher the number, the better chance for payout, correct? The generic instruction sheet they sent with it said the opposite, and it threw me off. I guess I've never really looked at it before. I'm certainly not getting anywhere with it set at 6... I set it to 1 and hit a bonus in three spins, so...luck, or have I just had it backwards the whole time?
