Default Fuse or Power Issue E.T.

Does any one know where the fuse for all power is located on E.T. ? I went to turn it on and nothing works. No power issue. Thanks, Frank A

Unhappy Re: Fuse or Power Issue E.T.

I found the fuse and changed it even though it tested good on my continuity meter. No luck. I will test the output of the transformer later today to see if I am getting power out of it. Does anyone have any other ideas as to why it just stopped working after being powered off for about 5 days ? Is there a capacitor that needs to charge back up ? Some of my machines go to an error code after being left without power for a while, but they come back quickly. Frank A

I'm not familiar with this frame (Sansei R&D 'Zerostyle'), so I'm not certain, but usually there should be two fuses. One rated at about 8-10A which is the main fuse for the game, and another which is only 1A which is the fuse to protect the card reader socket (where the dongle is plugged in).

Just thought I'd mention this to make sure you're checking the right fuse. Other than this I think you're on the right track in checking the transformer output as the next step.

I'm just going to throw this out because it has not been mentioned. I almost always turn my games on and off by a power strip as most of us do. One day I turned on the power strip and only three games came on and one didn't power up. I checked fuses, Transformer and conections and it turned out someone (maybe me,i'm not sure) turned off the power switch to that one game. I hit myself in the head for not checking such a basic thing first. I'm sure you alread did that, but like I said I just wanted to throw it out there .

I found out that the transformer does not work. No output at all. Do transformers just go bad overnight ? I contacted Gameroom Warehouse for a replacement. Frank A

NOTE: the transformer puts out 24vac not d.c. be sure your checking it with an ac meter as it will show nothing or near nothing on the dc meter.

I took the transformer with the same number on it from another machine and connected it up and the E.T. fired right up. It is definitely the transformer that is bad. I contacted Gameroom Warehouse and Bob Nelson will get back to me on what we are going to do. Frank A
