    Default Don Chan questions...

Occasionally, when playing my Don Chan game, I will hear several Japanese voiced saying something like "Ohhhh Sabi".

Then, the next time I press the spin lever, the Red, Blue & Green Dons appear on the LCD screen:

Also, this symbol (circled in green) starts flashing:

When you press a wheel stop button, the corresponding Don will pull a symbol out of his fireworks launcher tube, with a poping noise:

This continues till you hit a bonus or big bonus.

    My questions:

1 - What triggers this? I swear it isnt a specific combo of wheel symbols, as the "Oh Sabi" sound often comes a little while after the wheels have stopped.

2 - What do you call this mode?

3 - Do the symbols they pull out mean anything?

    4 - Anything else?

    Thanks in advance!

    Dave

Does the one wearing the "green" jacket change position ever? If so I bet it is like Outlaw were you have to hit the corresponding reel button. In the case of your picture you would hit the middle one.

Just a thought since the machines are similar, but I have never played Don Chan.

I believe that once they are on the screen, they stay in the same order. I havn't looked to see if they are in the same order every time they appear.

They pull different symbols out too. You have the one you see in the photo and a blue oval that says "HANABI".

Any particular reason you said to hit the green one first?

I found this web site where it talks about the flashing symbol.

    It translates to:

    Notification Lamp

There is on the reel sash right, "ド? Letter of ン ", that is the Don & deca- Don notification lamp. The name "ド? ンランプ ".

As for notification lamp at the time of coin throwing, at the time of all the reel stops, after all the reel stops when elapsing several seconds, Don "? Hitting? Until "with it blinks simultaneously, with the applying voice which is said gathers the bonus design it continues to blink directly

I specified Green, because I thought that was the main one on the graphics.

See on the Outlaw you have like 2 seconds to hit the correct button to advance. You do this like 6 or 8 times X 3 rounds. The guys look similar on Outlaw, but one may have a cape on while the correct one that matches the graphics doesn't. That is why I thought maybe the Green guy is the right one, but his position never changes then that theory is no good.

    Thanks for trying...

The interesting thing is that if you look at the "manual" that Dave has scanned over on Pachislo City, it shows just about every screen except this one.

    Strange....

Well each machine has a reel map that it uses internally. A lot of the combos you get, youll never know that they are helping you get closer to a BB or RB. It might bee bell, bell, and a fireworks symbol. When you hit these symbols it stores it up and waits for how many other ones it needs. When it get its set amount then it puts you in to a heightened mode which you should be able to hit the RB or BB much easier!

I noticed the symbols above the little guys are different... maybe you should hit the one that's unlike the other two?

If it's anything like the Outlaw, my guess is that he (you) gets the girl if you're "skillful" enough. Outlaw rewards the sharpshooter with PG-13 type toons of females in the game (in a bubble-bath, etc.)

The blue oval will take you out of the "bonus" and into one of the three 8 X 15 sets, no doubt. (Do the numbers in the bonus count LED switch to the 3-8, 3-7, 3-6, etc. when you hit the blue oval then?)
The other symbols probably keep it going if you hit that unique one first. (Does the display count down from 30, 29, 28, etc. if you hit them?) Eventually, a blue oval will come up then?

    That might be it... :smt102

There are two types of bonus games, a normal "15+bonus" and a "Big Chance".

The normal bouns gives you a maximum of 8*15 payout.

The Big Chance gives you three normal bonuses plus the chance to win more. That has the countdown from 30.

Both of these are won by wheel combos, AND can be won without having to go through the "3 Don" sequence.

I think Davis may be on to something, as there are setup menus that show various combinations of wheel symbols. I have no idea what these do. It looks alot like THIS. My attempts at translating this page have failed...

Not sure this is going to help a whole lot but here goes...

    As deciphered by World Lingo...

1: Straight line type of BIG design
Scissors eye of cherry equipped bonus design
Don't you think? already it is type of everyone coral knowing.
    Intelligibility NO. 1!

2: 1 reel decision type reach eye
The left reel 13? Just stopped 15th "3 connected Don", the bonus
It is the reach eye of 1 reel decision which it decides. It is
the succession eye from predecessor machine ハナビ.

3: 2 reel decision type reach eyes
"The right reel lower position 7" Don & is powerful even with
    deca- Don. アルゼマシン
Don't you think? the tear mono is in the free car.

4: Small part end type reach eye that 1
Both type, paper lantern or cool the husband れ れ the bonus
    decides.

5: Small part end type reach eye that 2
Both type, cool the husband れ れ the bonus decides.

that is why I said my attempts at translation failed...

Wow....okay, ......those "symbols" that the Dons are pulling out of the pipes....those are sevens. They are regular symbols that appear on the reels. If they pull out three of those, it is denoting that a big bonus is ready to be won. Just watch for the sevens on the reels, and you'll win no matter what....it will trigger the big bonus mode.

As deciphered by TrikToshi's tiny brain...

1: You see this pattern come up, and the machine is offering you a big bonus. OR, if you use the Scissors* technique to find this pattern, it also is offering you that same big bonus.

    2: left reel "reach eye"*
Just like the previous Don Chan editions, if you catch this setup in the left reel, you are probably being offered a BigBonus.

    3: middle reel "reach eyes"*
These setups indicate a bonus is being offered, REGular, or Big. The machine decides which one to give you. It assumes you used the Scissors technique*

4 or 5:If you see this setup using the scissors technique*, and you lose because one of the reels didn't match up, you are being offered a bonus.

Scissors Technique: Locking the left, right, then middle reels.
Reach eye: A pattern that locks on the screen that indicates the machine is trying to do something.....

HOPE THAT HELPS...even just a little bit.
