their new shipping boxes are smaller, but are the heavest cardboard boxes I've ever seen, almost like triple cardboard.

shipping on its side seems to help in shipping also. only one corner had a small bump. also a lot of fragile stickers all over the box.

I also noticed they packed a mailing tube in front of the case to keep it from tipping around in the box and padded both the top, bottom and glass with extra cardboard. all of it was plastic-wrapped tight and then bubble wrapped so that the only thing I noticed rattling around were the few balls that were shaken loose during shipping.
