    Default Question about cyclic

Waiting on my first macine to arrive, an Indiana Jones, so this might be totaly wrong. If I understand correctly I can make a small mod to make it semi cyclic or major reconstruction to make it cyclic. This may be a dumb question but couldn't you make the semi mod then disable/short the hopper empty sensor to make it cyclic?

In order to be fully cyclic the balls have to cycle back to the shooting tray. Semi cyclic mean the balls cycle to front of the game so how. Normally in to the bottom overflow tray.If you go semi cyclic you can use the hopper if you want. Fully cyclic you wouldn't use the hopper. I have some fully and some semi but I do not use the hoppers on either kind.

Ok thanks. After I wrote this I started thinking and figured it out. Do these machines have an issue if no balls are in the hopper?

if the hopper is empty the pachinkos usually have an LED light up and or an error code.

but they play as usual... except for the pay out of course

when you open the glass door you have access to both the payout and the hopper empty light. just unplug them if the lights bother you. with semi-cyclic you will have to move the balls from the lower tray to the shooter tray.

I always do a mod so the balls come back out to the shooter tray. AND I can still use the hopper if I so desire. It's all in how you reroute the balls.
Rerouting to the shooter tray usually takes a little more work, but being the Lazy person I am, I can just keep shooting and never have to move balls at all.

Now on the Hiewa cases, you don't have much of a choice as there is only one tray.

I just had a fever on my Dragon Monkey and 2 fevers on my Evangelion today.

no problem keeping up on the Dragon Monkey with the paint tray mod bringing the balls to the front.

the Evangelion wasn't to bad keeping up in fever even though it's still palour ready.

thats with about 1,500 balls a machine.

Any pics of how to best mod an IJ to have them go to the shooter. I have little kids that will be playing and this would keep the balls from ending up on the floor.

How to change a Parlor Ready to a American Pinball ActionÅ (Cyclic Usage) for the latest Sankyo frame.

Back side of the cell with the cover on

Back side of the cell with the cover removed and a plastic angle hot glued in even with the opening in front.

Front side of cell showing the white insert even with the opening.

Shows the back cover open and how it looks before any changes.

Shows parts are cut away to hold a hot glued in insert white plastic angle the full length with a foot angled toward the front.

A close up of the foot, that angles the balls back to the front shooters tray thru "X".
That piece is hot glued to the longer angle.

Shows the long white angle from the full back of the machine.

This show the back of the front where the balls go back out to the shooting tray.

Thanks Arby for the pics. Looks pretty complicated but hopefully will make more sense when I have a machine in front of me. I've been reading the threads for awhile and it looks like cyclic is the way for me to go.
