What is this timer counting down to?

I know even less about Pachinko than I do about Pachislo (which is pretty much zip). After trying to 'Bonsai surf' on the pachinkomuseum site (meaning: randomly navigating through a lot of untranslatable menu maps), I stumbled onto this odd site.

All I can say is, whatever it is, there's a big enough anticipation for it that someone bothered to put a countdown timer on the site. Similar viral marketing techniques are used for American video game releases, such as the FPS game 'Halo' series.

Just thought it was interesting.

Looks like it's the release date for the third pachinko machine in the Evangelion series.

The first two were huge hits in Japan, so I imagine marketing like this is to be expected.
