Default Ball "House Wins" tube over transformer.

Here's a tough one and it may need to be moved to the trouble tickets but for now I think it should be under mods.

I recently obtained from Samauri Slots a Nishijin 2003 (Optima cabinet) Red Lion. Samauri was having a issue with the transformer working loose in shipping when they were mouting it to the right (from the back) wooden stand. On mine they mounted it on the frame on the lower right side.

The problem now is that the frame of the transformer is under where the balls drop from the "house wins" shute. So balls bounce off the top of the transformer and the lip of a bowl generally creating a big mess that the cat seems to enjoy. But, has got the cat interested in pachinko. You should see it she can push the button to make the balls go from the shooting tray to the bottom tray and runs from front (to paw at the glasss) to back to see the balls fall all over the place.

To complicate things further the shute is flush with a plastic box so there is no way to mount anything to it. The only soulution I am thinking is to mount some sort of free standing shute on a leg attached to the transformer screw.

Has anyone attemped any thing like this or should I just use what little slack there is in the transformer wire and move it to the middle of the frame?

If noone has tried this I am willing to do the mod and send pictures but am open to any ideas or material sugestions.

move the darn thing out of the way. even up the side if ness. you'll find if you reroute the power wire on the machine you'll end up with miles of wire.

how about mounting an oil filler funnel using an electric conduit clamp by the transformer to catch the balls.

You can mount the transformer on the leg close to it and add wire if needed to the coard (14 gage)
But as BB said reroute the line should give you plenty.
    LD's funnal works good too

My Star Wars had the transformer mounted under where the balls come out, so I just moved it over, problem solved.

the other option is to convert the machine to semi-cyclic or full-cyclic. then of course you could cut into the the ball ramp at a higher point and reroute the balls around the obstruction....
