First Post. Looking for specific pachislo. HELP!

Hi! This is my first post here! I'm looking for a "Surftrip" pachislo machine. I found a site listing it for $186.00 with UPS shipping at about $136.00.

Can anyone help me find this machine i MUST buy this for my father for his birthday! Thanks!!!

Surf Trip is a very basic 2001 model from Aruze. It has a 4th reel on top but that's about it's only feature.

You can do a lot better for the money you found this for.

Yeah I know. I'm not looking for it for myself. My dad is a huge surf music fan thats the reason I want this particular one.

There are several vendors listed on this site under the vendor links section of the forum page here that you may want to call. Gaku and Stealth specifically. However...since it must be this particular machine and it is not a more popular one...and you have to have it... I say get it. It is always wonderful when we can please our parents The price is out of wack...but the end result will be priceless. Good luck to you and....

So far i've found it for sale on two websites. One wants $186 and the other wants $219.
What would be a reasonable price for this machine? I'll try to contact them and haggle the price.

I would say that even $150 is too high, that is just opinion. Since there is no MSRP on these machines, you will find the pricing all over the place... but as I stated earlier... if this will rock your Dad's world... Oh, and the shipping should not be over $100 dollars either. That is just too much!

Originally I just posted a link to the site. I didn't know shipping was $136 a mod must have edited my post. I still don't see on the site where the shipping cost is. Anyway i'm gonna contact them and see if I can work out a more reasonable price.

We don't promote gambling sites and that one sure did. That's why it was edited. I also went him and visited their checkout where they list the shipping and was shocked, so I included it.

Anyway, they emailed me back and said they were checking stock and wanted my zip code to work out a shipping price. I told them what was considered a reasonable price and they said they were willing to negotiate so now i'm just waiting to see what they come up with.

If they work out a decent price do you think its safe to purchase from them?

I tried a few places I have purcahsed games from and nobody has a Surf Trip in stock. sorry. If you want to try your hand at a custom machine I have this IGT belly glass you might be able to cut to fit.

Can't say, I've never dealt with them. Who knows what they know about refurbishing a pachislo?

If you do decide to give them a run, be sure and put it on a credit card so you can charge it back if it doesn't turn out okay.

Thanks for the offer chrisdice but the main appeal is the music that the Surftrip machine plays combined with the surf theme. The music is exactly the kind of music my dad loves. Stealth has a video of the machine.

Welp it looks like i'll be getting this machine tonight from PachisloUS. Although they didn't seem to happy about me asking for it at $150 they do have the best price i've found and are the only ones who seem to actually have it in stock. Their asking $175 + $69 shipping.

Well it's a gift so paying a bit more than standard is all right. The shipping is certainly in line and they know how to refurbish a pachislo.

I think you did well. As Tulsa said, you can't bargain much with a specialty machine you're looking for to give as a gift. Sure beats your starting price.
