    Default Galaxy Railways

There is a certain amount of mystery to pachinkos. There are a lot of pockets, lights and switches. Part of the fun is figuring out what does what. And what you have to do to receive the maximum payout. So I thought it would be nice to start a thread to help those people with this machine. And of course to help me out to.

First the easy stuff, the machine pays out 3, 4, 10 & 15.

    3 - The start pocket
4 - The the pocket with claws

10 - There are four round "nautical" pockets along the bottom.

15 - The fever pocket, "Emergency" door.

    Now here are the mysteries:

1: This flashes a series of lights.

2a. Here are a series of 4 round lights. (one indicates a payout of 15 in a fever round.). And a series of 5 oblong lights.

2b This switch activates the top two rounds lights.

    3. This is a big one. There is a round light with the number 2 in it. It is beside the 15 light. I believe it doubles the payout of the 15. Giving you a payout of 30. I haven't found how to activate it yet.

That is what I thought. But on my "Maturi" machines, there is a doubler. So I thought maybe that is what they were doing here. Maybe some type of loop-hole in the law. I read in a thread by bilko that they were changing the laws to make them tighter. Maybe this is all part of the bigger picture.

Indy has the same display as shown in Mystery #1. I was told by dishpan that this is some kind of diagnostic/verification code which is only active during fevers and special play modes. The patterns probably mean something to whoever has the double-secret translator ring.

Indy has it's own version of the rest of the mysteries, so this thread will probably work for a number of Sankyo machines.

Here is a couple more clues:

    1. I hit a fever round. At the end of which, this symbol appeared in the upper right hand corner.

Using DaveRob's "Draft FAQ (for comments) - Battle Counter Output Terminals."

This symbol should mean: Probability Mode - In this mode the claws to the secondary start pocket open. This is also the mode in which multiply Fevers are possible.

    2. In the mystery number 1 above, this device directly corresponds to the movement of the digital slot machine. I won three different fevers, with three different numbers. These pic are what the LED displayed for each one.

    A.

    B.

    C.

And lastly, the series of Fever rounds ended with this Timed Mode.

This is Kakuhen (確変), which is often referred to in the Japanese pachi reviews and guides. Google translates it as 'definite strange' or 'definite change' depending on context, so you may already be familiar with the term. The 中 is the Kanji for 'middle' and in this context can be translated to 'In Kakuhen mode'.

This is the mode where the probability of hitting another fever is about 10 times higher. This is why you often see two probability figures on the pachi spec sheets (ie on a Star Wars ZF the probability is listed as 1/496.5-1/49.6, the first figure is the probability in normal play and the last one is in 'Kakuhen' mode)

And lastly, the series of Fever rounds ended with this Timed Mode.
The last one is 'Chance' (チャンス) mode, and is the regular high probability mode that lasts for 100 spins (which are counted down on the screen).
