All New Pachislo Games Must Meet Reg 5 by Sept 2007

According to what I have read in an IGT announcement, all new Japanese pachislo games must meet Reg 5 requirements by September 2007. It seems the current pachislos manufactured under Reg 4 rules are too generous in their present payout odds configuration.

As I am not familiar with either Reg 4 or Reg 5 rules, I am soliciting more information on the matter. It appears Reg 5 games will not be as much fun to play once the new payout rules are implemented.

What this means for the pachislo fans in the US and Europe is even LOWER prices for imported games as arcades have to replace Reg 4 games with Reg 5 games only. No more Reg 4 games can be made or sold in Japan after Sept 2007.

All pachislo fans get ready for a slew of Reg 4 games in mint condition hitting the marketplace as thousands of arcades accelerate their elimination of these games.

I see this as a squeeze play to eventually eliminate pachislos while campaigning to introduce casino slots into the country. If that happens, pachinkos may soon be next on the endangered game list.

Wow now is the time to start thinking about several containers of them for our retirment sake , 2 or 300 percent markup would be about right , hold them for a few years till the time is right then sell all and move to a warm climent and sip martunies for all the rest of your days , Just a thought Cant hep me self

Yep just like I was saying before in an old thread with the pending legislature to legalize REAL casino gambling in Japan. There is just no way pachislos and pachinkos are going to fit within a legal casino. It is going to go the way of US Slots for legal casinos in Japan. Sure it will take a few years but ultimately all pachis will just be in kiddy arcades, japanese homes or destroyed due to lack of interest as the almighty US Slots will take over.

The storage idea is what I do with Hot Wheels. Store them for ten years, get 5-10x retail on a 99 cent investment. But, I wonder how they would store for 10 years in a container at my lot in the desert.

as long as its Dry and not too hot to damage the plastics they should be fine except for those with flexible disks i.e. spin luck the disk its self would probably get dry rot and stiff and rip the first spin it makes .......they store jets and helicopters in the desert for a reason .....

Lew and I were speculating as to the future of the pachinko parlors if and when casinos were to be legalized in Japan.

And it is just speculation as they have to pass that law yet and heck I would imagine as several have said here that the japanese people are not going to want especially pachinkos to go away any time soon. I would speculate or guess that it would take 10-20 years to see it all legal casinos with no pachi's.
