    Default Whats wrong with "Julie"

II have had my "Julie" Pinball for about 2 weeks now and so far I am 'NOT Impressed!!!!" I have run over 10,000 balls through it and so far I havent seen it doing anything special. Once in a while a ball or balls will come down onto the play field and bounce around for a few seconds then dissapear without doing anything. It keeps on saying "REACH" but doesnt do anythin. What does "Reach" Mean?? The top of the screen wil sometimes say "Step one" or "Step Two". Whats that supposed to do??? I have Never seen the Chance light light up. Maybe its burned out!!!! I have seen the screen say "Chance" but the chance light doesnt come on. Anyway If I dont see something more exciting or get this thing figured out its going to get sold. Can anyone help me with whats going on. I keep getting balls in the center pockets and it pays out 3 balls each time I get one in andI it spins the reels but I never seem to match anything.

Reach means you matched two and the third will get you into a fever round. Do not give up on it sometimes machines can be very stingy then go into one fever after another. I do not have that particuler model so I can not help you with the sep one and two, but I am sure someone that has it can explain it.
    and a few others.

open the glass grab a beer and ear plugs and fill the start pocket with 5 balls a few times then let them play out. repeat as needed. Esp. the beer part. this way chance is eliminated and hopefully you get to see dry spell moisten up.

Have to agree. Try 40-50,000 balls with only ONE fever. After 5 weeks of intermittent playing.

Then I had 6 Fevers in close succession (2,000 balls) sprinkled with Chance games and a few things I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to be doing.

You need to remember that these games are programmed for use in a parlour environment, not a home one and as such WON'T give a consistent payout. They are expected to make money firstly and provide entertainment, second. Parlour players are looking for the repeat jackpots which will inevitably have a lean patch either prior or after the Fevers (or both). The odds for a pachinko are calculated from many, many THOUSANDS of spins. Keep playing and keep 'reach'-ing for that cold beer, while you wait.

As far as adjusting your nails to improve your chances of spinning the reels, my opinion is that as long as you can keep the reels spinning repeatedly without either stopping (ie running out of spins) or maxxing out the spin bank (ie, 4+, which is a waste of spins), then you don't need to adjust the nails. Just an opinion, of course, which would apply to any pachinko.

Good points made, Robo. Generally, on the Julie, I never fall behind my Start Pocket chances. I do let it rest after reaching the max 4 until it goes back to two and then start firing again rather than just losing the chances. I have the nails set pretty tight, too, but with the two start pocket chance pockets, it's easy to keep the chances running continually.
