Custom SpongeBob Pachislo

I had a customer that wanted a Custom SpongeBob machine. Just got it done today and thought I would share a few pictures.

You are right. I was thinking about that while I was almost done but I had to get it shipped out today (It is for some kids birthday present). I had a hard time finding quality graphics but if I have to make another I am sure I will replace the Orange and Cherry with other elements.

There is a ton of graphics out there on the web but the problem is they are very low resolution. It is tricky finding high quality vector style images. A lot of time is spent just trying to find them. There are times when I have to buy a calendar and scan it in and then spend some time converting it to vector format.

From what I undestand, sound is the last barrier to be conquered in the "customs". I don't know if it has been done yet, BUT after seeing the awesome light display that Dapperdan posted this week, I'd say that if anyone could figure it out, he could. I can almost hear "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?...Spongebob Squarepants!" with all the lights flashing in perfect time to the music...on his next one

well the OEM chip is still a mystery but a clever engineer could use the audio signal as a trigger to play from a sound chip a few chosen sounds.
