    PRODUCT WARNINGS
Dumb and Funny Warning Labels On Products

On a lawnmower was a big label which read:
"WARNING WHEN MOTOR IS RUNNING- THE BLADE IS TURNING!"

grocery store pizza and the instruction were on the bottom, so we turned it upside down to see how long to cook it etc., and low and behold the first instruction was DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN!

On a bottle of spray paint: "Do not spray in your face."

On a bottle of bathtub cleaner: For best results, start with clean bathtub before use.

On a television commercial that says it cleans dentures 4 times better. Below in small print it said "Lab test: (their product) vs. water.

On a can of powdered infant formula: "Mix with water before serving." Like I'm going to spoon it to my baby dry!

There is also a stroller on the market with the warning, "Remove child before folding."

car ad depicting cars driving in the water with fins like sharks. At the end of the ad in small letters it read: "Caution, do not drive underwater"

There is also a stroller on the market with the warning, "Remove child before folding."

On a hose nozzle there was a warning that said: "Do not spray into electrical outlet."

On the back of the Pilots seat on NATO AWAC Aircraft (E-3A), is a sign that states: "Seat must be facing forward for take off and landing."

On a plastic orange juice can: "100% pure all-natural fresh-squeezed orange juice from concentrate."

sadly enough people win money in lawsuits due to their own stupidity and lack of common sense. So thats why you see warning lables everywhere....

I clipped this from a previous thread. I'm still shaking my head and looking over my sholder for a visit from the "Label Police" because I clipped these labels as being a hazard.

What I ended up with is a light emitting device that requires a degree in Nuclear Science to operate. If this device is so dangerous, why can a child buy and use it?

Is it just me or have we gone waaaay overboard with this litigation thing?

Aren't the labels themselves becoming a hazard and liability by hindering and restricting my ability to use these product in a safe manner? They may themselves be a fire hazard, or at least cause the device to topple due to their weight. If I try to remove them, the sticky residue remains. Should I use alcohol to clean that up? Lets start a big bonfire shall we!

I can't play my Pachinko because I'm too afraid to operate my new lamp. It may violate my home insurance policy. I've got to check the exclusion clauses first, before I can play.

The really bad thing is, that for them to have put that warning label on there, that meaning that some stupid most likely did that and tried to sue the company. Sorry but if you are have stupid then you deserve to get hurt.

Warnings are there because common sense is very rare! My nephew, on topping up his pet turtle pool with a hose pipe was looking the other way whilst inadvertently hosing the basking lamp (electric heat element) with the hose. Now the turtles have no lamp and my nephew is lucky he wasn`t fried. We shoulndt remove warnings as it would be picking on the afflicted !!!
