Default Paying for a new tool!

    Hi All You Pachinko Lovers,

I am getting a new saw fence for my Norm Abram saw table, and I was thinking of putting together some kits of my "on the wall Pachinko Cabinet" to help pay for it. Would anyone be interested? the Kit would be...

All wood peices cut to size for a Modern Pachinko,

    All necessary Screws,

All hole pre-drilled (including access holes)

and Mounting Bolts with Black decorative caps.

The case would not be painted...That is a color You can decide.

    Assembly instructions.

Presently, the cabinet I built is for about 1500 Pachinko balls. It works great and can get you through a fever with only about two hopper dumps.

    Here are some pictures.

If anyone is interested, let me know,

The kit would be 50.00 plus shipping.

    Thanks

Very, very nice cabinet, and a reasonable price too. Good luck!

Question Re: Paying for a new tool!

I have a few questions for you. Where are you shipping from and are there other finish choices available ? Does everything in the picture come with it and how is it fastened to the wall ? Any discount for more than 1 at a time ? Frank A

    Hi Frank A,

The finish would be lightly sanded and unpainted. Due to shipping concerns, I worry about sending out a painted piece in the fact that the finish could be scratched. The Cabinet would be complete with hopper and drawer pull. the only item that the customer would need add is some cushion (usually a Mouse pad) to the bottom of the drawer to keep the balls from Hopping out.

As seen in my Journal. The Ball deverter would not be included. This item is too particular to the specific machine.

As for mounting, Here are some pics that show How I mounted mine, and the mounting boards with bolts would be included.

This item Would be shipping from Illinois.

Just to add a note...The Cabinet would be unassembled. Shipping is a lot easier this way.

P.S. The Pachinko machine is not included

The hanging system is very simple. What is involved in making the ball diverter ? Have you done any calculations or estimates on freight costs yet to East/West/Mid Country ??

    As seen in my Journal...

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/jour...owjournal&j=12

The ball diverter was intended to slow the fall of the ball, and to keep it from bouncing out. Even without the diverter, the ball will make it to the drawer. There is a thread about using a mouse pad to cushion the bounce and several people swear by it.

As for Shipping, I am not yet sure on the weight of the package. I am just finding out if anyone would be interested in such a kit. I can ship UPS anywhere in the U.S. from Zip 60004

I would estimate about 15 lbs maybe, ...but don't quote me on that.

I assume the bottom is a drawer that slides out. Which means you would have to quit shooting to retrieve the balls. Is this a fair assessment?

hanabi has made a slighr alteration to this designe with the ball diverter so you can open the draw while shooting and grab a handfull of balls to fill the hopper if needed it seems to work real well from what she has said
My rice krispies told me to do it

Yes, you would have to stop shooting the balls. I built a cabinet for mine using his instructions....

My Star Wars Cabinet is indeed made using the plans from Youngjedi's Journal
    (thanks once again!!)

Although we did in fact make a later Modification

All as per my Cabinetry 101 File in the Museum - if it is helpful to anyone??

All I will add is that the Cabinet is very securely attached to the wall and even with the weight of all those Hallowed Sphericals it hasn't moved at all

Before putting the machine in the cabinet, I gave it a hug and lifted myself off the ground...it didn't even squeak. 215 lbs.

    That's how ours was tested!!
    but not by me..........

When it was first attached to the wall, we would check it every other day or so to see if there were any signs of wood splitting or movement - but it remains amazing solid and firmly attached to the wall.........

Such a simple yet ingenious method of attaching to the wall too, and if in future we need to swap cabineted machines around - its a simple task to remove and replace without having to make additional holes in the walls..

This is a strong wall hanger, It is often called a musuem rail but it is properly called a french cleat. the addition of a latch makes it very safe and avoids accidentally dislodging of the cabinet.
