    Smile Polish carpenter :)

I'm Polish and German and have limited carpenter skills, this is the start on my pachinko woodworking project.

    I bought 3-- 1" by 4" 8 ft pieces of spruce.

two side pieces are 31 3/4 inches, 2 base pieces are 15 inches. very little scrap.

one 8 ft. board for each stand so far

3 boards cost 10.00, the screws I had already, can of spray paint a few bucks .

once I get these mounted on 3 machines i'll move on to my next step.

Well dumb me I forgot to add the 3 1/2" for the base

The first picture shows my screwup

the second picture shows the feet.

the third picture shows the balls returning to the front.

I plan on putting a board across the back with a funnel to direct and slow down the balls when they drop.

right now they are dropping about 6 inches onto a mousepad in the tray and are bouncing as they hit.

I made 3 of these, I should have mounted one before I made the other 2

P.S. add the size of the base to the size of machine before cutting wood

I was thinking about doing something like that for my Julie since I don't want to convert it to cyclic. I'm going to use a piece of downspout or PVC pipe to channel the balls down in the back into the "paint tray" with about 1 " clearance between the tray and pipe. That should stop the wayward balls from bouncing all over. Looks good LD, there are all kinds of ways to fix your "short comings" and make it look like it's suppose to be that way. Don't sweat it.

Don't feel too bad LD, I miscut all the wood for two of my cases, and that was after I had already made several cases the right way, so it can happen to anyone.

I really like the way you put the feet on the inside....very cool!

Nice job LD! I made a similar frame for my Friends machine. I used a screw in cup hook that fit a good size funnel in the back of the machine that catch the balls and drop them in a tray. You them can just pull the tray to the front when you need to empty it.
    and a few others.

Do you have a Harbor Freight Tools anywhere close? They sell a package of different size orange funnels and the largest one in the package works great! Fairly inexpensive as well. I would take a picture of mine for you but I can not find my cable to download to the computer.

Here it is from the catalog. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...Itemnumber=744
