I do not have permission!

Sorry to post this here, rather than in another more appropriate forum, but I could not seem to find an appropriate forum for this question, and I have looked at this site's FAQ as well as done forum searches for the answer.

When I try to go to my User Profile to say, for instance, change my avatar, I get a message saying that I do not have permission to access that page. I can not change my avatar or any of my user information. And for some reason, my profile states that I am from Oklahoma, and that's very far from the truth! I am thinking something got messed up somewhere along the way (but I haven't been here much over the last 2 years).

Can anyone help? Who is the system admin here? How do I go about changing my user profile on this site? Thanks in advance!

on the menu bar there is a link called USERCP

you should be able to access that and change what you need to..

if not let me know and i will see what I can do..

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah I went to UserCP but I cannot choose "Edit Options", "Edit Profile", or "Edit Avatar" - I get the "You do not have permission..." page. I can edit my email address and collection, but that's it.

Just for the future, Site Administrators are named in GOLD letters and site Moderators are listed in BLUE letters. That is who to see if you need help.

LOL! No I am quite sure I am here in the frozen tundra of MN... Believe me, just LOOKING outsite can tell you that. Well wait, we don't have any snow yet... Thanks all for the help you've all given me with my noobish posts.

You know, this would be a great place to tell you all that this site has only gotten better over the two years that I have been absent. I returned from a lengthy hiatus to discover SO much more here! The Museum simply ROCKS. In fact, thanks to this site, I FINALLY found out what you call those awesome British slot machine/game board contraptions I played in the pubs over there over 10 years ago. FRUIT MACHINES! YES! I sersiouly have been SEARCHING for these things - they're so much fun.

Ok, one more last prop: I belong to another niche internet "community" some of you may have heard of: BoardGameGeek. I tell ALL my board-game-interested friends about that site, and I tell them over and over how nice the community is, and how respectful all (read:most) people there are. I constantly told my friends that BGG was the only site with such a great friendly community. And, over the past few days, I have come to be wrong! THIS SITE is as wonderful, if not MORE, than BGG, as far as niche-interest sites go. You are all so helpful and informative - THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
