Default lifter broken down have a look

This is for those trying to build a lifter. I had to buy one so i could see how they are made.Note: speed of turn is approx. 60 Rpm
The red arrow indicates approx. where the incoming ball meets the sprocket any higher and the ball tends to just bounce off the teeth rather engage and make the trip around.
The Yellow arrow is a small finger that reaches down into a grove cut in the center of the sprocket, thereby forcing the ball up the lift track rather than continuing around on the sprocket.you can see in the2nd pic, the finger extending into the gear on the right.THIS IS ESSENTIAL.
I anyone needs picks of anything else please let me know.

Thanks BB! I have just built a working prototype using a rubber wheel instead of the gear, I found the spring tensioned ball guide must be a non arc or a much larger arc to allow ball to enter, contact the wheel and exit the push mechanism. It is too ugly for photos, it is a lashup job using whatever I had around, cardboard, duct tape etc. It is simple but must be very precise that makes it hard to master. Ball are sneaky suckers they find unique methods of escape and capture avoidance. They like to bunch up and not feed some times as well.
