Who Killed the Electric Car?

I ride a motor cycle to work. But my big fear here lately in LA is getting in the middle of a intersection in a left turn lane a see people drift near me as the go past as they go across the intersection on their cell phones. They drift over and back because there are no lane lines at the intersections. In LA they can be 6 or more lanes for people to drift to the left.

I drive my motorcycle as much as possible GL1800 (gold wing) I have lots of cargo space. Not enough for my tools and a ladder, so I am stuck in the truck on tool move days. I leave a set at the job site and commute on the bike. I had an electric (800watt) scooter for on campus use untill my leg healed and they revoked my 'permit' I got sick of being reffered to as the scooter guy anyway. It was super handy for moving PC's across campus, easier than trying to push a cart on crutches. The 800 watt 36volt scooter can haul me (#200) and a full PC up the steepest hills here on campus. The whole campus is a hill actually. we have 2 story basements it is so hilly.
I had Puch moped when I was 15, 100 MPG or 25 per tank. it only held a quart. It was called a puke by some obnoxious kids.

Well , Not Electric Car Company for Salinas , California . The C.E.O. aka Scum $E^%#^#%#@%@#^ E-Bloged and E-Mailed that they are Gone from Salinas ( a week after they left the business park here ) and that they couldnt get $3 millon to match the grant from California (Yeah , Sure ) and the city of Salinas ,Ca is out $540,000 .
