    Default Semi-cyclic Lumina Cells

    I have now done this to 4 different cells and they are all the same. Julie,Casino,Star wars, Galaxy express.
    this mod does not reroute the ball dump track ( they will still dump out the back when you open the ball dump) but all lost balls and win pocket balls will no come to the lower front tray.
    open door , swing ball track door out of your way. look at lower part of rear cell.
    Pic #1: remove the clear panel shown. one screw and 5 clips. ( right end may be pinched by hinge mount. you may have to wiggle it a little.
    Pic #2: cut away bottom of ball track at point shown by screwdriver. use the removed piece to block the ball track to the right.hot glue gun works great.
    Pic #3: cut away lower plastic as shown. remove the ball ramp below this area first for easy access. (held on with 3 screws) now look down on the ball ramp you have removed and cut away top piece to allow balls to drop into ramp.( this will require the removal of a screw holding the top cover in place) now glue the top cover back on and reinstall all parts.

    Hey BB,
    When this was posted last year, we outlined the sections with red, blue, yellow, and sometimes green lines to make it easier for the members to see where the cuts start and end. And what sections to remove.
    Just a thought.

    This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

    Remove plastic as shown by red lines.
    add plastic as shown by green line

    blue = original ball path
    yellow = new ball path

    Yep, it's easy! Go for it.

    I ended up using a tiny saw to cut the plastic. The wire cutters I have weren't big enough to cut all the way down without hacking up the plastic. I used an exacto to score the final (third) side of each piece and did the back and forth wiggle to break it off.

    Keep in mind, the Valley Gaming machine isn't in a Lumina (I don't think) so your mod will probably be different than the one BB posted.

    here is what I posted over a year ago on howto change to open (Cyclic to front) or closed (Parlor Ready) position. . . . . .

    Clear cover on

    Clear cover off

    The Red would need to be cut away and the Blue would need to be made to stop the balls.

    Shows a Blue gate that if turned 180 degrees makes it Cyclic to the ball tray in front.
    Two screws hold it in open (Cyclic to front) or closed (Parlor Ready) position.

    This gate would have to be made of heaver plastic or metal.

    No I am not one, I am sorry you didn't see it and save youyself alot of time.

    I never went on and did the gate set up to be able to change it back and forth.
    I got into doing something else to get the gate fully designed.

    Again Sorry You didn't see it.

    It's great that we have a pool of creative talent here to draw upon. The interaction, brainstorming and multiple views at tackling the same problem, that occurs here is an incredible resource for everyone.

    That among other things makes this a very special site.

    The off-the-wall humour helps too!
