Question Cheater Switch on Spiderman Neo ???

I have installed the momentary cheater switch on all my Pachinkos, but on the Spiderman, Neo I can't seem to find the two wire connector that will start the win sequence when pulled out and put back in. In a previous mod thread, it was pointed out that the win sequence would start when this plug was pulled and put back in. I use a Radio Shack momentary off push switch on all of my machines and I don't have to open the glass and put a ball in the win slot. I have tried pulling out all of the two wire plugs, but no luck. Does anyone have any thoughts ? Frank A, Jackson, NJ

    To quote the Great Arbycoffee:

"G is the ball pocket that will trip the computer to think a ball has dropped thru. The two wires run to board connector 'CN8', splice in a normally closed button on the red wire."

    bypass10.jpg

Remember: I don't know why, but I had to hit the button 3 or 4 times very fast to get the machine to think it see a ball. "

I did this on mine and yes you have to hit the button very fast 3-4 times before it goes through, also you will see some kind of message on the screen each time you hit it and it don't go through.

I know on my Aqua Paradise instead of all the payout buckets being two pin connectors on of them, two different pay out buckets wired to a four pin connector.

Lddrizzt- have you ever had the message translated?

No I haven't, didn't really care what it said to tell the truth. After a few pushes of the button the reels spun, that is what was important.
I'm not one of those people who has to analyze every aspect of a game, or have everything translated. I just don't care about that stuff.
If the game is fun to play, I will play it. If there is a reason to know the Japanese details, then I will get them translated then.
I just play and have fun, digging into all the other stuff is too much like being at work, and I am at home to relax.
    So I say PLAY ON!!

Thank you. I will attack the CN 8 this afternoon. On the Julie, why do the balls stay in the hopper above the round rail above the flipper field and drop when the machine is turned back on after being turned off ? Do the flippers ever work during play ? The center goes up occasionally, but there isn't any action during play.

The flippers will work when the RED Chance button lights up. Then use the chance button to control the flippers.

keep playing!! you will eventually win a chance to play the pinball field.at that point the machine will release the stored balls onto the play field. the flippers are controlled by the chance button during that time. if the center pocket pops up and you get one in you win a fever round!!

Frank on Julie when you get into a chance round all the balls that you stocked up will roll down the spiral ramp into the center stage and you then hit the chance button over and over to try to use the flippers to knock as many balls as you can into the center bumper that will pop up from time to time.

The CN8 is the correct wire, but the pocket gets activated by a ball passing thru a round ring in the pocket. It must send a magnetic impulse thru the CN8, so the payout is not activated by an interruption of the circuit. Any ideas on how to connect a cheater switch ?

I connected a momentary normally open switch across both wires on the CN8 plug and I have to press the button many time in quick succession to get it to score as stated above. I also get a message in Japanese, but eventually it scores and I get activity. It seems to work better if a real ball goes thru and I then press it quickly and rapidly. I now have Julie, Casino King and Spiderman on the front line in my gameroom. They seem happy to get off the workbench and go to work with their brothers and sisters. They look nice next to Popeye, E.T and Lord Of the Rings. Julie was kind to me last night and I finally got to use the flippers. There is lots of activity going on with Julie, Casino King and Spiderman being played all at the same time. Julie is in the middle. Ball stocking gets interesting and hectic at times.

Maybe the ball sensor in this machine is different from the others. Most of the sensors operate by going open circuit when a ball is present, but there are also others that close the circuit when a ball is present. Maybe this one is an AC type, that needs pulses to operate ?

I'll take a look at my Bruce Lee over the weekend. Though I'm not sure it's going to be the same, as the Takao Hornet frame was revised for Spiderman Neo and I don't think it's compatible with the older style frame that Bruce Lee is in.

Yes you are correct, the cell fit in ok, but does not plug in. different number of wires and different stero Speaker hook ups.

I had gotten acouple red prototypes with the conversion to Spiderman cell, Instead of yellow it is red/
    Looks Great in Red!!

I have to say I agree with Arby. The Red looks fantastic, and I am proud to say that I was lucky enough to get the other prototype red cased Spidey.
    Mmmmmmm Red.
