Auto Stop On The Cheap

After reeading a bunch of threads on the forum regarding this subject, I found out to my surprise that all these Pachislos essentailly have 'auto stop' built in (if you want to wait 30 seconds) for the reels to atop by themselves.

Why then are all the commercially available plug and paly auto stop kits so expensive$30 to $50 (The $10 chip is a good price, but I don't want to risk soldering in a new chip)?

It would seem to me that there must be some cheap mod (or setting) that can be done to shorten the built in 30 second timer.

I buy the autostops from autoslot.info just for the credit add feature, I picked up a few spare stop boards from http://applegroveslots.com/ and solder my own, These guys give great deals to members and are great to work with. Most newer machines use the same type stop board so they are interchangeable.

the problem is the timer isnt a analog timing circuit that can be changed by lowering a capasitor .Its in the software running the machine and so far thats been off limits to us .so the easiest way to do it is take control from the machine and make a chip that will hit the stop buttons for us thus the autostop mod chip . if you find a way to access the programming on these machines im all ears and chomping at the bit to play with that code .

Maybe it has to do with the manufactures little pet peeve of those pesky things called trade secrets.
