Default AAA Semi Cyclic mod (Tiger Mask)w/pics

Since I have another AceActiveAmusement case I decided to give this semicyclic thing a try to see if I would like it. I've never really been interested in the whole "cyclic" thing mostly because I have to have the payouts.

First I removed the ball router from the bottom back of the machine

    Then I remove the plastic

Next I made a cut here

    And then a cut here

Finally I cut a small piece of mylar and hot glued it to the plastic backing

Then I put it all back together and here is video of the final result

This turned out to be an excellent mod. No more reaching around to the back to get more balls and I still get payouts.

This same method should work on CasinoKing and Rose of Vesailes also

Thats a great mod. Thats exactly how my BTTF works now too. Your pictures are much better then mine, great job. My little camera phone dosn't quite cut it. Semi Cyclic is the best of both worlds.

Isn't this the same result that you get from having your machine in a cabinet that brings the balls back up front to you?

What is the advantage of this conversion over a cabinet?

The advantage is not to have to need a cabinet.
I have nine machines, I could buy 2 more machines for the price of cabinets for all of them.
Plus no cabinet makes them lighter and easier to move around.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

alot of cabinets require opening a drawer or a latch of somesort, this way is much easier and more accesible. I'm working on a custom cabinet for 10 machines(some pachinko and some pachislo) and was trying to come up with a design for 1 ball return for every machine slot, since i would be swapping machines often. This mod has made my plans alot more simple.

I only modified this machine because my CasinoKing has the same case and I can swap cells, so it didn't bother me to cut one up. Now that I've done it and played it awhile, I've decided to modify all my machines to semicyclic.

I modified my Dachaii to front ball return really easy on that vintage. and is reversable, sorta. It made it fun to play again, I hate the reach around.
My next pachi project is for a proper gameroom cabinet, with ball handeling for multiple machines built in. Cell or even whole case swaps will be easy, for re-arranging os swapping the pachinkos. I have an idea and working design so I just need proof of concept model and the time. i have been quietly taking mental notes and will be incorperating several of the members ideas into the project. I want full ball play, but with my own ball handeling idea. I won't have to touch a ball unless I want to, but still have full ball payout during a fever.
