Default (Probably) dump question about SanDisk Memory Stick Duo

    Howdy all,

I received one of these a little while ago as a kind of 'payment'. It comes with a "Memory Stick Duo Adaptor" which I read makes the stick compatible with MS Duo products soooooo what is a MS Duo product?

MS duo products would be pretty much anything sony that takes one of the ms duo cards

Vaio's got them , Sony digital cameras etc..

the memory cards (ms duo) usually come in 2 pieces 1 the card itself and then the adapter which basically makes the card longer..

I use the memory stick without the adapter in my video camera.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Aaaah, OK, I see. Thanks guys. The problem was that I kept thinking that MS = Microsoft.

The adapter is basically just so the new smaller cards can be used in older things that use the original size memory sticks.

I have Sony products, the Duo adapter works with the original 'memory stick' devices. such as the digital cameras and some of their TV's. Later the format size was reduced, for use in smaller camera's, MPS players and cell phones.
