Default Will Ca. be last to fall??

As most of you know I go to court on the 19th to defend the right to own a token Pachislo for private use in my home..... and as it seems in a few States, there illegal..... but does anyone know that Target sells Pachislos? Sams Club also sells them... and if you order on-line at www.target.com... they will ship them to every state but 1.... you guessed it CA... I find that odd given the fact that other states that are tougher on any kind of slot machine is now allowing pachislos... Ca codes which are gray at best and leave a open door for token machines.. is preventing pachislo period.... with this news... Ca is one of a few if not the only place in the free world were you cant own a pachislo.... I find that funny that you can order tube socks, tires, clothes and Pachislos all at the same time during your online shopping at Target......

I bought mine before that law and you are saying that my family can't play it in my own house! I was told that new ones can not be sold and they were not going to go into peoples houses. But I am not surprised because about a year ago someone got busted for having las vegas machines over 25 years old because he did a lot of entertaining and was letting people keep the payouts without paying taxes. But that was because one of the guests didn't like him and was a cop. How did they find out or did you order it from over seas?

That law was put in as part of a Indian Gaming Law when they had the TV ads here with sad poor indians that needed help because the state wasn't giving them any county sales tax money.

Well there is something going on... some person or persons in the local goverment is banning these machines... the only thing is... there is nowhere in the codes that say you cant have them.... only that a device or machine that readily can be converted or adapted to take coins is a slot machine... but they do not define what is easy or hard to convert.... infact they dont even check.... the officers are under orders to seize any machine that looks like... smells like.. or acts like a slot machine..... and this came from the officers own mouth. word for word... know tell me where it says that in the codes.... maybe there was a backroom deal with indian gaming.... or someone.... I should check with Target and see what Ca told them... or maybe they were paid off to? what have I uncovered.....

I've heard the part about "convertable to coins" argument before. Then why are there still Chuck E Cheeses.

But in fact the older ones from before the law are easier to convert to quarters than the new ones. My old "Sea Adventure's" coin validation is so slack that it will take quarters as easily as tokens but half still fall into the bent coin slot or fall inside the case. It just has to go past a small switch contolled by a angled track that is the width of a token/quarter. If it rides the rail you get credit. A piece of stiff cardboard and tape it would start taking slugs and pennies.

I wish you luck but it sounds like they just want your machines. I can't see them doing anything else without having a case for the state supreme court.
This state has a bad habit of saying one thing and doing another until they get their hands slapped in court.

They couldn't write a state law here that would hold up in court to save their lives. They always have to tie something vague to everything. You should see some of the new laws they put on the books Jan. 1. My favorite is reckless driving is a felony but they didn't define what reckless driving is. Another good one is that when there is any vehicle on the side of the road with flashing lights you are to pass it 30 feet away (two lanes) or get a ticket. Or smoke out of your tail pipe or under the hood automaticly fails a smog test (even if it is steam). California is the only state you can get a ticket for "failure to yield right of way" AND "impeeding the flow of traffic".

So when you are driving the cop may ask you to take your pick if you are cought in a intersection when the light turns red when others run the light. They can get you for anything at any time when ever they feel like it. Or play the game, I got your attention for some reason and you proved me wrong but I can get you for this and that strokes my ego even better and I always win.

I'm sure you all heard the story in the news today about the guy in England in a old Diesel car got a ticket for doing 420 in 35mph zone. Instead of getting a apology in CA they would have waited 3 months, fixed the "data entry error" changed the 420 to 42 and enclosed a warrant for being overdue and canceled his licence for missing a court appearce that was automaticly tied to the due date of the ticket.

Get under the greasy shoe of government it is hard to get scraped off. I know people that have been brought in on a warrent (failure to appear) for a case that was dismissed 3 years ago and had to pay someone to prove it to them becuse their computer did not show it was dismissed.

Here's hoping you can win this one and start a new collection with peace of mind. Just praying that one day someone in that crazy state will discover that illegal immigration, drug smuggling, human smuggling from China, et al,and the constant power shortages would benefit greatly if they put as much effort into them as they did making sure you couldn't entertain yourself at home.

What casino do they own? LOL I also plan on taking a Diamond slot bank into court with me.. have you've played that before, thats more of a slot machine then a pachislo... Thanks for all of the replys.

I checked the court rules, I get to have a public defender and I have a choice to have a jury trial.. which I will... I cant see how a jury would find that California is being reasonable in regards to their witch hunt of Pachislo collectors..
Life would be easier if I just liked playing with my pachinkos... LOL or If I never played King Camel

BTW as far as I can remember this "eye shooting" is not something you can do with regular USA Slots....

I do agree that this "may be " the best class yet that GAKU had.

Yes, they can.. in fact I can have Pachislos or Slot Machines all I have to do is pay 500.00 for my Ca DOJ certificate, but that has to be paid ever year. The State wants there money.

Idle curiosity but have you ever considered moving to a state that holds the values of the United States dear, maintains personal freedoms and utilizes at the very least a little common sense when dealing with it's constituents?
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.
