Very good looking! $1100 not a bad deal for the pair. Each is another story.

You have to remember that Gaku isn't trying to corner the market on pachinko machines. He's wanting to offer something different than anyone else can offer. Something he feels is going to be much more playable than we currently have. He's well aware that he's only going to sell a small percentage of machines vs other sellers. This appears to be fine with him, at least from my conversations with him.

Looks like these would be perfect for future pachitalk.com tournaments.

Those are very cool looking and I like the fact that you have the LED interface.
But I can't see playing a pachinko where the balls are locked away behind glass all the time.
Yes I have most of my machines in cyclic mode. and the LEDs would be a great addition. But I am not one to have my machines in a cabinet. I move my machines around too much and I have bad arthritis in my hands and it's very hard for me to hold onto these machines as it is. A cabinet would just make them to unwieldy for me to move them.

If Gaku would consider selling machines in the normal sense and offer the LED setup in a battle counter type of thing seperately, to attach to the top or side of the frame I would consider it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

I've been stewing on this for a bit. I am very excited that Gaku is attempting to bring real innovation to pachinko marketing in this country. Y'all know I like my cheap toys as much as anyone, but I will be happy to see if Gaku's approach opens a new market for these machines.

I am pretty sure that whatever the initial price is, volume will improve it.

I will give (not that he needs it) a single hint, though: if the design will permit Lumina cell swapping (and the top graphics were flexible), I think he might have a bigger winner. Think game systems here. Sell the thing with Star Wars or Indiana Jones and another Lumina cell (or two); suddenly he can much more realistically make a price point for early adopters (us). I know this is intended for total non-tech operation, but jeepers if he'd resell cells I bet he could reach the "gotta catch 'em all" impulse and justify the price to folks.

Gosh, cell swapping only takes four pages in the (I still think it's the best thing ever) translated Lumina frame manual!

    But what do I know?
[D] means [developement] [doramatic] [demention] and [design]

    i like the idea..

selling the Pachinko as a complete item. sure it wont fit the needs of the avid Hobbyist who likes his mixing and matching and the everything that goes with that.

How many times have we heard.. There's no back on these things? its broken?

I think units like this will make the hobby more mainstream and allow more people to enjoy it. No more worrying about all the ball handling all the need for extra balls (the Pain in the ass issue that i am sure makes a lot of people go forget about it, )

as for the price I'm sure that it will eventually come down not to the level of the $200 - $300 dollar level that we may be used to, but this is another beast entirely.

I Hope Gaku does well with this innovation.

I Give this Product the Captain Weirdo Seal of approval..
( like that means a heck of a lot but anyway... )

I think there is a market for pachinkos that have been modified like this, but it's not going to be that big a market, so simple economics mean that the price is going to need to be quite high.

Some people want a machine that they can just plug and play, and don't have to worry about having loose balls all around the place, for them this is an ideal product. But for others (like myself) the DIY solution is a lot more attractive. For that price I could buy a premium machine, a ball lifter and an authentic parlour battle counter, and build my own custom case to put it all in.

I really don't think you're going to see a lot of these. They are hand made and time quite a bit of time to produce. So don't get your hopes to high the price will fall as more are sold.
