Cutie Honey not shooting

Hello all, Just got a cutie honey for xmas and everything else powers up but the machine does not shoot balls. Here is what I have check and found to give you all the info I can:

Fuse blown on board that dongle plugs into, Dont know if it blew when I turned it on or was already blown.

With new fuse in place and dongle plugged in, blows new fuse right when powered on.

With new fuse in place and dongle unplugged, fuse will hold when powered on but still not shoot since no dongle is present I guess.

Screen, lights, sound, and payouts seem to work all normal.

I have checked all plugs on the machine that I am aware of, but if something is unplugged that would not normally cause a short as far as I can tell.

LED 4 is lit up on the back of the machine.

That is pretty much what I have found so far, but from talking to some guys earlier having a shorted dongle popping fuses isnt a normal thing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you making contact with the metal ring behind the shooter knob when you are turning it?

check the dongle thread here. insure that the diode is installed properly.white bar on correct end. if you have a second machine, try its dongle. it sure sounds like a bad dongle to me.

Sounds like a bad dongle. Open it up and check that the components are not touching any connections they're not supposed to or are installed correctly.

In that picture of the dongle in the other thread it looks as though the resistor diode and i guess a capacitor are soldered together. Is that how it should be?? on mine everything is seperate. Also it looks like in the picture the capacitor and resistor cross each other, but on this one they do not as in resistor goes to four from front right to 1 on back row.

I would ask the vendor to ship a replacement dongle and some new fuses

That's OK as pins 8 & 9 and pins 17 & 18 are connected together inside the pachinko.

If the 1 Amp fuse on the dongle board is blowing, then there is definitely a short circuit or a faulty component on the dongle as nothing else in the pachinko machine is supplied by this fuse.

If all the components are in the correct positions then double check that the side of the diode with the white stripe is facing the side of the dongle, and make sure the capacitor has it's negative pin (marked with the long white stripe on the case) going to pin 8 or 9 (with the diode going to the other one of the two pins).

Also check the resistor value, It should be between 270 and 470 ohms. If you don't know how to read resistor values post the sequence of color stripes and we can check the value for you.

If any components are mis-installed, then they are likely to have been damaged, so it's a good idea to ask the vendor for a replacement dongle. It's also possible for a faulty dongle to damage components inside the pachinko though most machines are pretty robust in this area.

Called CFExports and the will be sending out a new dongle and some extra fuses to get me going. Ill keep it updated if that works.

did you try the dongle off the big shooter on it?

Recieved the dongle from them yesterday and all is now working just fine. Thanks for all the help guys.

As far as I can tell birdbrain the big shooter does not have any dongle in the back. it is not a CR machine.
