    Default Video Help Needed

    Hello all and Happy Holidays

I have a problem with the video display on my Don Chan II
The video clips are blocky, missing a panel sometimes, displays a black square,
sometimes.... wow this is hard to describe.
The problem started suddenly with no warning and does not effect game play.
I thought it best to ask the pros... users.

    Thanks
    Dadof4

It may just be a poor connection somewhere, check all your wiring to see if its all snug.

Is this anomaly on the same side of the display every time or does it move around?

Hint: post a photo if it is tough to describe.

Thumbs down Re: Video Help Needed

Hello folks... sorry its taken me so long to get back to this thread. You throw the holidays in with two ice storms and power outages some problems get pushed back. So I have tried reseating the cables behind the video screen and the video problems are still there, but are in different spots of the videos. Here are a couple of links on YouTube to better visualize what is happening.

    I love YouTube.

Any sugestions are appreciated and I Promise I will check back sooner than last time.

from what Ive seen it doesn't appear to be a screen issue but more a data issue to the graphics interface your best bet at this time is to go over each connection between the mother board and the monitor and take them each apart then plug them back in hopefully it will disappear as fast as it came . was the machine stored for a while any where just before this happened ???? or did you just buy it this way ?????how long have you owned it ????

We have had the machine for almost a year, this has been the only problem that has occured.
I have unplugged and reseated some of the ribbon cables and have noticed that the longest connector is the one that might be the cultpert. I can unplug that cord and get a change in the problem. Same problem different spot on the video.

sounds like you may have either a bad cable or one that needs cleaning . radio shack has a pen that has a chemical that helps with oxidation on electrical connections it works great . its a bit pricey but worth trying it cant hurt anything but may solve your problem .
