According to a recent episode of The Feed on G4TV you Playstation 3 owners will soon be able to also do this "light sabering" as they will be coming out with something that is like the Wii's controller....

You might need a plasma intravenous after playing with it.

Don't blame you, at least until the second generation strap comes out.. I felt sorry for some of those people. One kid said he would never play it again. ..

use 1/4" Lexan then you could use the wii remote as a hockey puck and not hurt your TV.

This is one of the items on my wifes xmas list. I guess I have to have her sign a waiver before I give it to her. If she brakes something or hurts herself I'll never hear the end of it. LOL

This is one cable show I miss with Leo Laporte and his gang from the old tech.tv that is now G4techtv in Canada. For some reason they don't have on G4tv Usa the replays of the great Call For Help show with Leo. Anyway here is a great post about the Wii :

Some of you may remember when I wrote about a blimp toy in the summer and how it changed the dynamics of our work day at office. Certainly it caused subtle adjustments to our equilibriums, swaing the scales toward the positive side. Well, there's a new force that's taken over now. Nintendo calls it the Wii (pronounced "wee") and I'd tend to agree with the name because this product is fun.

Nintendo has always differentiated itself from other gaming consoles by using external accessories. The first Nintendo entertainment system came with Duck Hunt and an infrared gun. The next console incarnation, Super Nintendo, had a variety of add-ons, such as mats to dance on and other handheld devices like a fishing reel. So it's no surprise that the Wii follows suit. In fact, the Wii is built around a set of infrared controllers that let you control boxers, bowler, runners and other characters by mimicking their actual motions.
The addictive nature of the Wii has modified our work habits and brought an interesting fact to light: some of us are a little out of shape. Or at least we're incapable of running for more that a few minutes and bowling several consecutive games leaves our muscles feeling sore and weak. I believe the people in the office bowled almost 200 games in Wii Sports without taking a rest.
The game was set up in Matt Harris' office. When he left to go out for a shoot, we discovered the Wii games can even be played through a glass window. So basically, it's pretty clear that this system has the potential to revolutionize our gaming habits as we now know them. But does that mean we'll all become addicted to exercise? Things could be worse. Mike Lynett Editor

I have witnessed this amazing Wii and it is something to behold.
