    Default Large screen pachinko anyone

found this on yahoo jp conect it in to your pachinko with the suplied connector and plug an RGB monitor or tv in the other end and hey presto large screen pachi

    http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f52990045

i just wished they would make it the other way around so that when your pachinko is in attract mode you could have the lcd monitor on them showing whatever video you feed it ie from a dvd or satalite ect it would look great in your games room a bit like the score bords at a bowling ally
My rice krispies told me to do it

all you would need to do is get an adapter from female to male rgb( they sell them) to connect mulitiple cables together. you can also get a hdmi to rgb adapter so you can play hdmi inputs to rgb.

They won't work 'the other way' no matter how you connect them up.

These one's are quite simple, the LCDs in Sankyo (and a few other makes) are actually driven at near enough to VGA frequency to be able to work with most VGA monitors. So all you need to do is convert the six bit parallel digital signal for each colour to a suitable voltage analogue signal and you're away. It could be done with a triple video amp, a resistor ladder-DAC and a bit of 74 series logic to latch/buffer the signals and to get the sync polarity right. (I've done this design in my head and it should work ok, but I don't really have the inclination to build and test it).

Going the other way is a lot more complicated, as you need to re-generate the pixel clock to drive the LCD panel. It might be possible with an HDMI or DVI source (as there is a pixel clock already in both of these systems). But then you've got the serial to parallel conversion to sort out, and at video frequency you're not going to be able to do that with 74 series logic!

If you really want to display live TV on the screen of your pachi, then the best bet is buying an OEM LCD panel controller such as the AVP-1280
but you'll have to make up your own cables to interface it to the screen. They also do a PC-VGA to LCD driver but seeing as the panels in most pachis are only 640x480 the desktop size would be too small to be practical.

Depends on the screen. Older 7" units are 800 x 480. Try and find a setting for that! Then you have the wide-screen unit on the Pachislo Sea Story. I've seen that one used with one-way mirroring as a rear view mirror with the video behind it. Lots of uses for old LCDs.

Here's a pic of a recycling plant. Wouldn't you love to pic thru that!!!!

Oh, I think being able to route the machine's video to an external source would be cool, as long as it's still on the machine too. Send it to a projector or big screen tv, with surround sound!

Sometimes I get a bit too techical for my own good . Try this 'lite' version with all the unneccesary mumbo-jumbo removed and see if it's a bit more understandable ...

The converters to show you pachi screen on a VGA monitor, won't work in reverse to show a computer screen on your pachi.

To convert the pachi screen signals to VGA standard is quite simple, it could be done with 'off the shelf' components (read that as your local Radio Shack will still probably have to order them in for you!).

Going the other way is a lot more complicated, as the LCD panel needs signals that just aren't there on a VGA connector. You might be able to do it with a digital source (such as HDMI/DVI) as the neccesary signals exist in those formats, but there's still a lot of conversion work that will need to be done.

Best bet is to buy a ready made converter from either TV or VGA signals to the native signals that are needed to drive the LCD panel.

Are you sure that isn't the shipping area for "V-a-l-l-e-y-G-a-m-i-n-g"? Or maybe it's 5StarDeal?
