Tokenless mod

I have read through the forums and found a lot of information and opinions of going tokenless, but nothing with a definite solution. I would rather have tokens in my newly acquired Sinbad Adventure, but CA won't let me.

There seem to be many links to Japanese sites that sell exactly what is needed, but without being able to read any Japanese I am lost. Even with google 'translating' it.

A token add device seems to solve half the problem, but the hopper still needs to pay out tokens, or an error results.

Does anyone know where I can get a device in the US to achieve tokenless operation, or a way to beat the hopper issue? Any help is appreciated - especially if you can read Japanese!

These devices would seem to make the games legal in almost every state, and I'm sure the market would be vast.

nothing there going to do it. you need to contact Arby. he should be able to get you one. mind you, it wont be cheap. but the trade off is doing 5-15 at sing sing. your choice.

If I remember correctly, these tokenless mods will not make your machine legal in CA.
They are just a plug in device that lets you play without tokens. All the token hardware is still intact and that will not change the status of a machine. As tokens could still be used.

hmm but surley if oyu are token less from a plug in you could disable the hopper by taking the motor out or somthing and if oy ucan take the motor out then distrying the loom that runs it would render it token less???

Milt, could you define "Tokenless"?
Is the hopper bypassed, too?
And if so, is there any way to keep a tally on "winnings"? (Digital readout, etc.)

Or is it "auto-credit" with token payout?

They bypass the hopper and coin mech. You plug the unit into the bet switch, coin mech switch and hopper plug. It only goes to 50, so there is no way to count the winnings.

I found the tokenless mod at stealth - $19.95. Milt said it was the last one, but maybe they have others. I'll see how it works when it arrives.

There is also the Palot a cross between a Pachinko and a slot machine.
It only with use Pachinko balls there is no way of use of coin or token.

I've heard of the Palots. But even they are illegal in CA. In fact their definition of a slot is so broad that even a toilet can be classified as a slot machine - seriously.

But the tokenless mods can make them legal. Of course they could be converted back, but the term is "readily" and that is not well defined. I think I would use the "chucky cheese law" as a defense...
