    Default Gibisan's Latest Arrivals!

Made it home for a day, just happened to be when packages from Japan arrived (7 days early, what timing!).
First we have Sankyo Super Stadium:

Same cel design as Yoon Sona. 2 sets of reels in a larger rotating drum. During some of the reaches, the drum rotates and you then have 1 reel and a horizontal drum. The symbols on the drum determine how much chance you have of winning. Other times the big drum rotates further and the horizontal drum is now a roulette wheel. The symbol that comes up here is what will be on the reels when the drum rotates back.

Then Sankyo's Julie the Pinball! (forgot to take a pic when it was in the frame!). Lots has been said about this one so I'm not even gonna try! One thing though, the cell has to come apart a lot more than others to go in and out of the frame (the control boad has to be removed or the pay section can't be opened). Same thing on the Super Stadium.

Now, Sankyo's (seeing a trend here?) Densha De Go!2:

This is one of my top favorites right now. Lots of mechanical animation on the cel. The crossing gate flashes, the gate arm comes down, a little train crosses the tracks in front of the LCD, the sign board above the LCD flips, lots of lights and action! If you do a youtube search for pachinko, there are several videos of this machine.

    Next, Robocop.

This was a purchase from Jwegger. Didn't have any sound, discovered that the volume switch was missing (the circuit board was still there, just the metal cover and switch lever was missing). Just my luck, a surplus company I know of just got them in (DP3T), 3 for $1.Met him at his place (a 2 person west coast convention!), checked out his collection of vintage. Great guy! Met up with him at the Long Beach Flea Market, huge place, no real pachinkos this time but lots of neat stuff (shoulda bought that moose head for the truck!).

    Next, Himesama Night.

This is the mid version of the Yoshimune series.
I liked the color and the girl on the belly glass and the curves of the door, couldn't resist! The LCD is sometimes covered by the shades, but can still be seen through them. At one point while I was playing, there were the shadows of two figures, then they opened revealing 2 semi-clothed ladies (one young, one older)! The young one was shocked and tried to cover herself, the older one had a sly look (kind of like - ) and was more revealing. First time I laughed out load at a machine.

    On to other things:
6 tray carts (without the handles).

I know there's only 5, the other one is up stairs (small broken part being fixed). These are for taking you trays of winnings to the counters. Figure I can make handles out of conduit (easy to bend).

    3 "Battle Boxes".

These are made of wood, with false bottoms (makes it look like they are holding more).

    Booklets for:
    Arabesque
    Race Queen
    Bomber Powerful
    Mumu World DX
    Cutie Honey (pachinko)
    Golden Treasure
    Pachislo Sea Story
    Gin Gin Maru
    Outlaw
    Hanabi
    Speed Racer
    Sinbad Adventure
    Nyan Nyan Paradise
    Janken Battle
    Julie Pinball
    Yoon Sona

    Books for:
    Star Wars
    Pachislo Sea Story
    Nyan Nyan Paradise
    Cutie Honey
    Mumu World DX
Aqua 9 (mistake, thought it was Aqua Paradise, on the way though!)

    Cutie Honey Poster, door size.
(No pic, same as towel below)

Cutie Honey Towel. Drying off was never so good!

4m of Cutie Honey fabric. (Not sure what to do with this, maybe the truck could use some curtains?

    Videos:
    Jungle Girl
    IIjima Naoko's Casino Bisty
    Yoon Sona
    Indiana Jones
    Mumu World DX

    Flags:
    Star Wars
    CR Fever Queen
    Mumu World DX

Ball handling parts and a few other things on order. I know, I know, I wasn't going to get anything for a year! Well little do you people know, it's actually 2008 right now! I invested heavily in time acceleration equipment before the end of 2006. So don't forget to set your calenders forward at midnight!

Nice. I like the pachinko with the actual reels. I am starting to want to get a model with real reels.

Hey Crippen, Where did you find Tom Jones singing Japanese? That first video sounds just like him.

Actually importing directly from Japan is The 12th Step into Pachi-Hell!

    Run away, Run away!

Why do you think Arby has that avatar? That's what all direct importers look like after the plunge!
