Are you kidding, H20? Perhaps, it wasn't appreciated in the "mother land" by those who spend day after day in the parlors (many actually trying to make a living playing the machines) due to way it processes its payouts, but it is one of the very MOST appreciated and enjoyed machines here in the west.

    Yep, you must be joking?

In a kinda sorta way. I would never pay that for a machine. We all know that these machince usually do not hold their value. They are great collection items, but horrible long terms investments. But really... my comment was just a response to feeling a little frustrated or embarrased about what this lady had to endure and the chaos not only around this auction but the Harley also (Although I must admit guilt, As I enjoyed parts of the harley one).
    There's no need to fear....

i don't see the Harley or the spin luck doing anything but appreciate in value. the dragon dice fluctuates but has seen a slow steady increase also.
in addition, i'm not a great fan of those who scream thief right off the bat, as they usually turn out to be the worst offenders themselves.(present company excepted, of course)

    IMHO... as always....
    1. She started with a high price to begin with. If she knew anything about auctioning on eBay (as she claimed), and anything about this machine, she could have started it at $0.01 and the price would have climbed by itself to where it was to begin with... and saved money on the listing fee.
    2. Had her ex given her a K1 Punch Rush or Gold X, she probably STILL would have started it around $500... and this would be a totally different thread about some eBay noob that didn't have a clue. Unfortunately, it probably STILL would have lead to what she considered to be an "attack". The point is... she didn't have ANY idea what ANY machine was worth.
    3. IF she really WANTED to know about this machine, or the value of this or others, she would have searched the internet about it... and found US here at PachiTalk. (OR, she would have had her computer-savvy ex-hubby do it for her.)
    4. Someone, no doubt with good intentions for the seller, did a big disservice to both HER, AND this community by leading her into a false assumption that her machine was worth more than she thought. For a new, zero feedback seller... whether she's bought things on a different account before or not... she started it at a higher price than she PROBABLY would have got... IF we did not exist... and/or nobody ever tried to be "helpful".
    5. The first bit of "advice" that she quoted in the ad was really harmless, and was meant to help. The SECOND bit (from "another person" she says) started a frenzy. And that didn't help anyone.
    6. Obviously, nobody needed to look after this "poor thing", as she's no doubt coasting on one helluva alimony payment from her "toy loving" ex. I'll bet both she and her lawyer had good time with THAT!!!
    7. Not to sound sexist here... but if she doesn't want to field any questions about an item she's selling on eBay... maybe she should try listing it at a different time of the month... when she's not as "sensitive".
    8. If someone used the "gotta see the serial number because it might be a knockoff" thing... THEY are an asshole. Anyone with half a coconut can plainly see this was the Real McCoy. You can't knock off a Spin Luck and make it look like that!!! SO WHAT if the serial number was missing or removed. Many are.
    9. FINALLY... EVEN IF SHE would NOT have pulled it HERSELF, EBAY WOULD HAVE PULLED IT... for lack of disclaimer. Someone should have told her about THAT!!!

Nice of you to share your "windfall". Please take a look through the things I have left to sell. I will be more than happy to let you pay MORE than I'm asking for them. That way, we'll BOTH feel good.

But... THIS is the kicker to the whole thing!!! :

The last few sold between $750-900 and it is highly sought after
NOW she's offering to sell it outside of eBay, for a HIGHER price... NOW that she THINKS she knows the value.

Look at it. It's covered with fingerprints and dust. It wasn't cared for... it wasn't played regularly... and it sat in her garage like an abandoned toaster oven waiting for spring cleaning pickup.

SO now... it seems this "poor thing" wants to break eBay's rules and go outside of their venue to make the sale???
How many others got this "offer", I wonder???
More profit for HER that way, right? After all... no final value fees that way.
And if eBay found out about it, and canceled her account... what would SHE care? She's a zero feedback noob. She'd just get another account!!!

I'm not interested in buying this Spin Luck.
But if I WAS, based upon her attitude about it NOW, I think I'd tell her where she could store it.

And it wouldn't be back in her garage!!!

logicprobe, That was awesome !!! I totally agree I had wrote her and politely asked her some questions and the next thing I know "the bidding has ended for this item" she replies to me that everything works fine on it and says That is it! with the last e-mail attacking her, "she has HAD IT and she has removed the listing she said "I know the value of this machine and if I do decide to list it, it will be for a lot more money!", she says "good luck finding one". Im like whoa you nut bag no wonder you are divorced and I wanted to say too and by the way no one wanted that nasty spin luck anyways no amount of novus or wax could save that chrome...lol. Ill be honest im glad I didnt bid on it, I live in NY and had thought about driving out to get it thats how bad I would like one, but she was a looney, I work Retail and I see a lot of loose cannons and she was one of them alright, sorry if I am being brutal but wow. I agree though she can take that Spin Luck and do you know what with it is right...lol

Some references have been made about the Harley Auction. I just want to set something strait. The Harley and this spin luck were two different auctions. I did not smell a rat on the Spin Luck, even though there were some issues that could've been cleared up with such a machine. The Harley I did! I thought it was a scam before, during, and after.

I cant wait to read one of your NOT so humble opinions!!!!!!!

I believe that the email sent to her was out of compassion and possibly protection for the "poor" woman (LEXINGTON KY, Horse country ,2names, etc) but I believe she is rich!
A poor person owning something like a Pachislo machine would know what the value of it was, poor people are aware of the value of everything that they bust their humps for working to get. Rich people dont know the value of anything.
So now she feels she is one up on everybody, more power to her.
In the end a good intention went terribly wrong.
Maybe for a goof I can send my mother over to her house as a gamming commissioner!!!!!!!!

Ready for round 2 gents and ladies? she mght be getting nervous she actually contacted me out of the blue. With an attitude.
"I received an e-mail from you several days ago about a Spin Luck pachislo that you had purchased for $300.00, I am curious about it b/c my ex-husband paid more than that for ours 2-3 years ago. What kind of shape is it in? Is this particular model rare and If so, What makes it special? I have not seen one on e-bay in quite some time for sale or under completed auctions, Why is that? Are they hard to come by or what?
    Thanks!
